Vol fans out there........I am very good friends with Dirk Koetter who is now the OC in Atlanta for those of you who might not know.......former HC at ASU....that was when I got to know Dirk/his wife Kim and their 4 kids extremely well(long story), but anyways.

I have a chat with him most weeks and last week he flat out said to me that Chris Peterson might be ready to leave BSU. He feels with all the conf. shuffling and the Broncos heading to the BE that now is the time Chris would take a job like Tennessee or Arkansas. Those were the 2 teams Dirk mentioned to me.

Peterson would be great in Vol Land! Thoughts?

I know the world thinks Charlie Strong will be connected to Arky once the season is over but on a few occasions he has said since UL gave him his first HC gig that he isnt made of the type of cloth where he would leave so quickly for another job, those were his words on Jim Rome.

As of 6:23 AM on Monday, he has not been let go. Lots of idiots on facebook want to get them jump, but it has not happened.

Having said that, it will happen, just a matter of time. Like I said, trustees want to have something in place before making the move. If you fire him today and have no one, then what? He will not be here next year so calm down if you are a Vol fan.

I will say that there will be an all out assault that takes place this week on Chuckles, then probably plan B will take place. The Iggles would be smart to fire Reid NOW, if they want him.

Stay tuned MJ brothers.....................

Well said on the school wanting someone in place. Best case scenario is they fire Dooley and then within 24 hours announce the new hiring. That way it will hopefully curb many schools trying to poach their recruits.

Had to throw that one in there for skipper!

Or you could bring in Phil Jackson since the lakers passed.

Dont know if he is interested in leaving so soon but the new coach at Penn State has impressed me he is a winner, heck half his starters left and he still had a winning team his first year, he had them playing good ball

Dont recall his name but I think he came from New England

The "Zen Master" would work wonders here. If he passes, then the next three calls are:

1 - Bill Parcells
2 - Tony LaRussa and um...oh yeah
3 - Larry Brown

Should be interesting that we may have 4 openings in the SEC this year. Ky (done deal), Vols (according to Tn people), and I guess we couldn't rule out Arkansas and Auburn. Maybe everyone is playing it 'close to the vest' because of this. I can just imagine the cell phone calls and behind the door shuffling going on. Vols and Auburn would have to be considered the best jobs, followed by Arkansas and Kentucky. But some coaches may have different priorities. Win 6 or 7 games, maybe 8 once every 7 to 10yrs at Kentucky and your good to go. At Arkansas you'd probably have to do a little better I'm sure. And those same numbers at Tennessee or Auburn would get you run out of town before long...:). Oh well, pick your lot coaches.

Wild that so many SEC schools will be looking for a coach at the same time!:scared

While a viable candidate, Patterson's name is not being tossed around much. I think some are still a little bitter that he didn't take it when Fooley did.

I just wish Houston was closer than La Tech at the time. Sumlin was the next stop and he wanted to the job:facepalm:
