I?m suspending my writings about my year spent with Binion?s Horseshoe because I sense there is a lack of interest in that subject.
--------------------------------

I think most people are interested, considering what has transpired there over the last 4 years.

I am still very interested in both your writings and your book Nolan, please keep up the good work. I think in light of the recent happenings at Binions I have become even more interested in knowing what goes on there. I agree 110% with yyz.

See!:)

I don't know how you got impression, Nolan. I just look and wait for the new postings on your page.

Personally, I think of the forums as the front page of the paper, and the rest of this place as the inside. There are plenty of days when I don't even look at the free picks pages. I respect the fact that you have a busy schedule, but the lack of a daily update hurts your readership as well, I presume.

When I see you post something new, and it states there will be a follow up, I assume it will be there. Now, a few days goes by without a page update, and some of the interest is lost. Perhaps if you had a weekly update, and "archived" any daily updates for those who missed them, it would work a little better?

I think if you "advertise" in the General forum when you have a new piece, it would be received a little better, and get plenty of reads.

Just my spin..........

So Cal
Let me jump on the "Nolan Bandwagon", too. I find the vast majority of your writing fascinating and appreciate your writing skills. You have written some fantastic human interest pieces and your stories about Vegas are some of the best I have read. There is no lack of interest in your opinions and stories here. Keep up the good work. Seems like we mostly just complain about things instead of saying well done. So, well done Nolan.

Nolan, I visit you every day. As a frequent visitor to Vegas and a fan of Binions, I have read with great interest all you have written about Binons. It is a fascinating story on whatever level you choose to portray it.

Love your writeups on the various Sportsbooks and your general observations of Vegas life.

Please stay with it....I anxiously await your next page!

Thanks for the feedback, gentlemen.

I never know what is interesting to readers. Some of these subjects that I think are important and interesting may not be so to others. I don;t want to use the Madjack's page as s ounding board for gossip or innuendo, but rather I hope to provide some infromative and entertaining material to readers -- hopefuly a mixture of the two.

I have pondered my future here at the site and considered leaving the site, at the end of football season. Jack an I agreed that I would write a lot more REVIEWS and STORIES and for that I am eager to continue.

Regarding the Binion's Horseshoe story, I really was blessed to be at a very unique time in Las Vegas history, the closing of what was the last family owned and operated casino. I expect someone wil eventually write a book about it's demise.

There are some very sensitive subjects that I'm not sure I want to discuss right now. I am also wary of talking about my personal views, beyond just general observations. This is because at least one member of the Behnen Family gave me great access and a tremendous amount to freedom to do the things I wanted in the interest of Binion's Horseshoe, and I do not think it is appropriate to backstab and say negative things about the Family and the way the property was run. I guess what I am saying is that I am trying to come up with a confortable "middle" that will permit me to tell some of the fascinating stories that went on inside during the final months in a bankrupt landmark casino, while at the same time not violating some of the trust that was placed in me by the family.

When I get this sorted out, I'll write more.

I also want to say that I apprecaite the \feedback because I never know what readers are interested in. I thought the death of my cat Frankie was a bit self-indulgent, but at t the time I needed some way to express my sense of loss and thankfully there were many readers there who understood the pain.

I'm humbled by your interest and appreciate all the comments,

Nolan Dalla

nolan, you've always been a class act, I wish you would go back to the writing of las vegas sportsbook reviews, and the writings about general observations, such as the dmv, and the story of "Bill" the homeless man, I found those very entertaining and interesting, the Binions stuff doesnt interest me a ton, but hopefully you back to the reviews and random musings and observations, stories etc about Vegas, but of course everyone has their own preferences

regards,
Mike
