Thanks for the feedback, gentlemen.
I never know what is interesting to readers. Some of these subjects that I think are important and interesting may not be so to others. I don;t want to use the Madjack's page as s ounding board for gossip or innuendo, but rather I hope to provide some infromative and entertaining material to readers -- hopefuly a mixture of the two.
I have pondered my future here at the site and considered leaving the site, at the end of football season. Jack an I agreed that I would write a lot more REVIEWS and STORIES and for that I am eager to continue.
Regarding the Binion's Horseshoe story, I really was blessed to be at a very unique time in Las Vegas history, the closing of what was the last family owned and operated casino. I expect someone wil eventually write a book about it's demise.
There are some very sensitive subjects that I'm not sure I want to discuss right now. I am also wary of talking about my personal views, beyond just general observations. This is because at least one member of the Behnen Family gave me great access and a tremendous amount to freedom to do the things I wanted in the interest of Binion's Horseshoe, and I do not think it is appropriate to backstab and say negative things about the Family and the way the property was run. I guess what I am saying is that I am trying to come up with a confortable "middle" that will permit me to tell some of the fascinating stories that went on inside during the final months in a bankrupt landmark casino, while at the same time not violating some of the trust that was placed in me by the family.
When I get this sorted out, I'll write more.
I also want to say that I apprecaite the \feedback because I never know what readers are interested in. I thought the death of my cat Frankie was a bit self-indulgent, but at t the time I needed some way to express my sense of loss and thankfully there were many readers there who understood the pain.
I'm humbled by your interest and appreciate all the comments,
Nolan Dalla
