Anyone else in the path of this thing? I know we've been lucky this year and have about 2" on the ground now. I was really not ready to deal with the snow tomorrow. They're already closing schools and business's and not a flake on the ground till midnite. Anyone with a snow shovel and some free time head this way.

This is going to suck. They're saying 15 - 24 inches in my area. I can't wait to drive the 25 miles to and from work tomorrow.

We had a nasty winter storm blow thru here today on its way East--6-8 inches of snow, 30-40 MPH winds. Roads suck in town, don't even want to think about what they are like out in the countryside.

My sister-in-law lives in Wells. Talked to her last night and she said that they are calling for 12-18 inches there. Where in Vermont are you?

I live about 30 miles from Wells (in Rutland) and I work in Poultney which is even closer (7 or 8 miles, I think).

I hope the forecast she heard is closer to what we actually get. 12 inches seems like nothing when you've heard "up to 24". :mj07:

Rutland? Small world, eh?
Have been out to Vermont twice since Juli bought the Wells General Store and both times we went to Rutland. Nearest town of any size to Wells--unless you go to Granville, New York.
You ever find yourself in Wells stop in and tell her I said you could have a few of her homemade muffins and donuts for free...:D

Almost forgot--

Juli is talking about getting married sometime this summer. If she does, I'll look you up. Maybe head up to Long Trail Brewing Co for a couple of cold ones...

Morris--

same for you. Next time I speak with Juli I'll ask if she would be so kind as to schedule the wedding during Saratoga's meet....:mj07:

I'll meet you at the track for some cold ones and to bet the ponies...

Redsfann - Sounds like a plan!

I don't think I've ever even been to Wells. But homemade muffins and donuts?? I might have to go next time work is slow and I need something to do.

Morris - A friend of mine often says you can get herpes just driving through Granville. :mj07: :mj07:

until the drug cartel wants to move in. Then your place is worthless. The neighborhood they harbor now has all bordered up windows on 8 out of ten stores.

Cant go wrong with Fort Lauderdale, San Diego, or even Vegas :scared although my alcohol 'habit' wouldnt do well there but with a real job and some flexibility to come back east in the summer, more and more I think it is worth the sacrifice to move out there, NY is awesome but kind of stale after a while and cold and expensive as hell, you're area gorgeous in the summer Morris, for sure, lol you ever see mike francesa from the 'fan there and famous coaches?

See Bill Parsells all the time, lives a mile from my mother. he gets coffee at the Stewarts across the bridge. never know who you'll see at the track. Most everyone is down to earth, regular people. Jimmy the Greek wouldn't shake hands with a friend of mine years ago. Said "I don't know you"

I feel you guys, i mean it was a miserable 68 and light winds here in San Diego , today.

I hate it when it is breezy. And the clouds we had today, slight overcast. I mean really when in the hell will i get a full day of sun.

Ohh, well maybe i will move to some paradise, oops i am already here.:00hour
