Where it is real F ing COLD
Cie Grant said:
The south has plenty more to offer than uptight northerners would care to know. We are good people, just as good as you or your neighbors, if not better. I would challenge my resume of public charitable pursuits and service and against anyone. I also know that southerners compromised 90% of the donations from MJers to my charitable efforts with St Baldricks last year. That says alot to me.

The southern streotypes some of you perpetuate are as pathetic as black men/watermelon BS that Ray spews. We are one country. I'm no fan of upity northerners per se, but I tolerate them and never belittle them on that basis alone. I have no issues with you as a man, but I do take issue with your negative attitude towards southerners.

I don't mean to sound uppity but re reading my post and other posts I should clarify. I don't have a disdain for all the south, it's beauty, and what it has to offer, I plan to be living at least part time in the south in the near future. When I say south the image that I dislike is the confederate, rebel flag waving, Robert e lee worshipping south. Didn't mean to lump the entire south all in,

I went to school at Robert E Lee High School and we were the Rebels until sometime in the 60's and they changed it to Red Raiders

My favorite show growing up was Dukes of Hazard

What is wrong with the Rebel Flag?

What is wrong with Robert E Lee?

It is part of the Southerners Heritage.

There are people out there that have the fear of the #13, (triskaidekaphobic) Do any of them throw their rattle down when the Original Colonies Flag is flown?

Mexicans fly their flag every where in the South West, let them be proud of their heritage. But if any Caucasian complains, watch out, La Raza will blow a shit gasket followed by the SPLC and the ACLU and attack you as a racist.

BP, your disdain for Johnny Reb, the flag and Robert E Lee makes you prejudiced.

I really feel bad for the normal conservatives out there, and by normal I mean the good people who are fiscally conservative and may have different moral beliefs than I do, but they don't fall for all the CRAZY shit that Raymond, Skull, and Hedgie spew on here, such as ...

It's not just ?normal conservatives?. It's not just disagreement, it's not even getting upset or passionate about an issue.

I am not sure I can describe in one word the behavior that drags this forum down, but I am sure everyone knows what I am talking about.

The thing that bothers me the most are people who can?t or simply refuse to articulate an original thought about a political issue, let alone craft a complete sentence.
Hey, link dumps and posting of pictures or videos have their place but once in a while if a particular issue has you thinking or you want to share something? talk about it!
That?s kinda the point of this damn place. Exchange fucking ideas.

Reminds me of when you sorta outgrow a group of friends from childhood or college or whatever. You want to keep hanging out with them, you want to bring up a conversation with them, but you know if you hang out with them it?s just going to be the same ole shit you have outgrown. You?ve changed and they haven?t. So you just stop hanging out with them. And it sucks.

That?s this (political) forum. Most of the people who grew up stopped coming around, so now it?s just the people who didn?t. They can only sing one note, and it?s the same damn song every time.

And it has next to nothing to do with political opinion. It?s behavior.

Makes me prejudice? Of what?
The rebel flag and Robert e lee are not well liked in the north. You don't see people toting around union flags up here. Northerners associate the rebel flag / confederate flag to ignorant racism, maybe I'm off base but that is how we feel
