honolulu, Hi, USA
Loving the game, so far. BUT, Amato has got to have the goofiest sun glasses. Looks like some kind of alien from Mars.
Is it me or do others share the same feeling?

goofy is right,, but this sort of shows his personality, and coaching style.
This guy will run every play in the book to win, no matter what anyone thinks.

Dude is one wacked Italian. Said he was going to sing to them at the half to keep them alive for the 2nd half. Those are his lucky glasses 8-0 w\them.
His wackiness also shows in his play calling-but I think its great!!

chuck wore those same sunglasses through nc state's first nine wins. he decided to change glasses for the ga tech game and wore a different pair through state's three consecutive losses. at his players' request, he went back to the oakleys for state's final game win over fla state. you can bet your ass he'll wear them all the way though this game.

ttmm, i promise you wouldn't tell him that in person. the guy is a beast, played middle linebacker on the nc state white shoes defense cotton bowl team in the late sixties. if i remember right, the guy's got a 58" chest. he was a graduate asst at state when i tried to walk on in '70. in practice he would trade licks with the linebackers in full pads wearing a tee shirt and shorts. all the players were in awe of him. and he's a pretty good guy to boot.

Loophole- not saying anything about his character, or body stature, just his voice....

for a man his size one would expect a manly voice, hell sounded like a woman!

I don't know if this personality can endure many seasons,,but I think NC State has a definite winner for as long as he has the desire to compete. I'd take him as coach anyday!
I wonder how long they can keep him, given his success??

ttmm, didn't take it that way at all, he catches grief all the time about his voice. he stays hoarse all through the football season.

big joe, he's an alum, and says he's where he wants to be. he passed a lot of opportunities at fsu waiting his shot at the state job.
