It was 1971 ,I failed a science course during the spring semester.Had to go to summer school. I'm a soph at North Texas St Univ..It's so hot in Denton,Texas. Wanted to go back to NY but needed a 2.5 gpa or my ass was in the Army. I had my 2-S student deferement changed to 1A..It was my 1st nite there,classes started the next day.I was dribbling a basketball across the Kerr Hall lobby and the outside foyer.Dribbling like Pistol Pete.....Then I saw this 5'9.tall,slender,shoulder length hair,..girl...wow...the box was in love....lets skip the next 36 years...and the 4 kids...and...tonites North Texas-Ark St game. Got bad news...mean green not so mean..
Ark St +1.5 over NT ***
Both teams can score.Both teams can't play defense.Ark beat NT twice by 3 and 24.NT's coach doesn't have a clue on attacking teams,running offenses,etc.Every once in awhile there run something but it's all 1/1.One guy dribbles,try to force it in,shoot 3's,etc.NT has talent and has greyhounds.very athletic,quick,can rebound,etc.But there so bad fundamentally.In last nites game vs MT ,Bell went up to shoot 2 FT's ...The announcer said.."Bell has 14 pts,5 bds and.....no assits...that can't be right..must be a mistake..."But it wasn't.Way to much one on one and street ball.With talent that gets you 20 wins but at some pt it will bite you in the butt.
Ark St has won 6 in a row...playing tough..hitting 24-28 FT's last nite.They have Wells and Banks and both can score.NT defense will be tested and with NT top player Kendrick Davis who might not play. He had the flu last nite.But even if davis is OK,I like Ark St to win this..
Over 145 **
Both games were 144 and 145...both teams have won 3 and 6 in a row..On ESPN..c'mon..its showtime
Penn -7.5 over Princeton **
have to be careful..because Penn could take it easy.But Tigers are so bad and Penn is so much better. Throw in the rivalry,they don't like each and this game could get ugly ..
