be backing a starter who is adjusting during game situation, would definiltey give him a start to see if he can straighten it out...

The angle on Baldwin

James Baldwin (3-4), who has lost four of his last five decisions, is taking a different slant on this afternoon's start against Tampa Bay ? his arm angle during his delivery.

Baldwin worked with M's pitching coach Bryan Price on Monday in an effort to return to more of an over-the-top throwing motion. Price said Baldwin had dropped his arm slot in recent starts to get his pitches to move more.

"He still has movement, but the movement simply is flat, and that takes a lot of his pitches either from the corner to the middle or from the middle off the plate," Price said. "If he starts to get used to getting on top again, I think the results will start to get better."

boy ain't that the truth. -250 on a pitcher that's flagging and experimenting with his delivery along with about half the lineup that aren't hitting their weight. i'm on the way to the hospital now for this neck thingy, but when i get back this weekend i'll want to know where the hell you been.

Agree IE....also, Seattle has lost 4 straight while only scoring 5 total runs in those games combined. Also, Tampa's a team playing with a lot of confidence right now, having won 4 in a row and 7 of 10.

I know a there's a lot of people are talking about betting the farm on Seattle today......I think it's a big risk considering the situations of both clubs....it's a long season, people should reconsider this game IMO and show some discipline.

all teams, good and bad, have their good and bad streaks. we have a bad team on a good streak and a good team on a bad streak. i'm taking my chances with the +220. playing these situations throughout the whole year will definitely turn a profit. hell, you only have to win 3, maybe 4 of the games. i wouldn't bet the farm on a big fave at all and especially under these circumstances.

thanks for the information, IE. glad to see you eagerly back with the best information.

thanks
