What is going on with college football players?


I've mentioned before that I played few years in a small D-3 College program.....we had dummies on the roster....but man oh man this is bad look.....Because I played, I usually tend to give the player the benefit of the doubt, but this is disgusting behavior

Notre Dame- if ends up true that he assaulted police this bum shouldn't play ever again



Baylor- I have more issues with the animal cruelty then the police fight- disgusting



These schools need to quit pampering these guys and focus on teaching them how to become men before worrying about developing them to be football players

He's never playing again nor the guy with the illegal substance and the unregistered gun. Anyone who wants to compare and contrast how Notre Dame handles their business with the way others handle their business is free to do so. No waiting for the courts, not even waiting for the university. No team votes, no district attorney's not wanting to prosecute, no avoiding YouTube videos of 14-year olds giving blow jobs. And now a true frosh starts in place of a senior.

Some slip through the cracks. Just glad to see that some universities (well, one) is still suspending people for not upholding the values of the program. joker now knows that asking for that isn't naive. Penguinfan now knows that morality sometimes does win. Jack knows that thugs can't play at Notre Dame and shouldn't watch them if he wants to see future Ravens. And Cie. . . .well,sometimes analyzing data points isn't everyone's cup of tea.

I think the athletic programs are similar with Bama having a slight edge but for developing academic leaders and for doing the right thing it's ND > Bama > FSU = LSU.

The kid with the suspension was coming back in week 4 and now won't be back at all and the senior was considered to be "elite" by Kelly after the spring and was the #4 and #2 tackler and 2-year returning starter on an incredibly inexperienced secondary. There's not many people on the team that were more important this year. But Clay Travis thinks that the freshmen are more important which is surprising because freshmen are almost never more important than seniors in college football. Especially these two guys who I've barely heard of. It's almost as if he has no clue about Notre Dame, it's depth chart and just wanted to have a "hot take" so someone would talk about him. There's nothing in his statements that approaches anything truthful.

That's probably fair...i credited CT because he is often wrong when he talks his "specialty", the SEC, and i know nothing about ND's roster.


I know that bama let stolen gun and pot in a car slide, while Aub let someone loose for failed marijuana tests. Couple seasons ago, les cut loose a kid for stealing a bike and punching a window in a fight with a girlfriend. Mamy around here complained, i would have given him another shot. The dude is now serving hard time for major felonies. Point is, these coaches know the kids better than we think we do. in their position, i would likely give favorable treatment to major contributors when i thought i could get away with it.

As long as they have a pulse it's a go
Good athlete with drug history- sign em regardless

Shouldn't be that way- there should be higher standards....at least for the schools haha

If these kids cannot act as functioning contributors to society, they do not play....at all levels of sports...no questions asked....you break the lawn, you are out....this shit is a privelage....if your kids teacher gets drug charges, you won't want your kid around to idolize him and watch him....football players are role models everywhere......I'd love to see it where any legal issue in which found guilty, the player is automatically out for good....then, and maybe then, our youth will realize it isn't worth it to go off track....They see these guys living large and getting in trouble....why would they think it was a a big deal to beat a cop....or a dog....or a woman...

If someone said they'd give me free education/stardom/millions to play ball...I just couldn't be a thug criminal and if get it....I think I could make it happen ...why so many of these guys can't baffles me
