I really dont like Notre Dame one bit, and have made some cash betting against them the last two overrated years...including the most ridiculous line ever - that +4.5 - + 6 against OSU last Fiesta Bowl.

I have bet against them routinely again this year, but I just have a feeling this upcoming game against LSU sets up well for them. Am I crazy?

I completely agree. Fading ND is usually money in the bank because they are such a public team, no matter who or where they are playing.

Almost every game they play they are hammered by the public...except this one. LSU is being regarded as maybe the best team in America right now and we all know how dissapointed they are that UCLA beat USC and dashed their Rose Bowl aspirations.

At first glance I thought LSU would crush Notre Dame and the public would be all over the Irish and the line would move to like +10 or +10.5. Not the case so far, LSU is getting the betting volume and the line is holding steady.

Looks like I'll be laying off this one...

...or maybe even playing the Irish :com:

good luck

I agree, can't stand ND and all the hype they get. The lack of line movement and all the LSU play leaves me wondering. I was looking forward to betting LSU but now the numbers change. It may be ND or nothing.

I couldn't disagree more . . .

The 2000 Fiesta Bowl Line of +3.5 to Oregon State was the most ridiculous line ever. :)

This game's all about what LSU wants to do with it, but New Orleans social setting may be too much of a temptation.

And as far as ND being a "public" team, there's just as many that line up to bet against them as for them which is probably why they're 47-45 ATS over the last 8 years.

The 2000 Fiesta bowl was probably the most current example of what getting value in college football is all about. Notre Dame's name and reputation and Oregon State's lack of it made for a perfect set-up. I'll never forget it because I remember having Oregon St by 11 and still liked to have never pulled trigger because of the 2 things mentioned above. I'm not for sure the man ever 'really' makes a mistake.
