Horrible week last wk, first one in L5. I'll take the lumps.

Total of the Year goes this week as soon as the line gets posted!! There are 5 games that potentially will score 80-100 points before Saturday even gets here!!

My early takes on this wks matchups. THESE ARE NOT PICKS only analysis

Ohio vs Buffalo, Buff is having a great year thus far, both teams 6-2, , Buff lost at OH LY 38-31 getting 14 1/2.

Oklahoma getting 14 1/2 to Baylor? Baylor scoring at a 64 ppg clip? OK, who has Baylor really played this year? Oklahoma won LY at home 42-34, 8 pt game, now they are getting over 2 touches?

Troy & ULL, Troy lost at home LY 37-24, ULL is giving 11 1/2 now, down from 13, steam move 1 1/2 pts already?

L'ville giving 28 on rd to UCONN? Why shouldn't they? UConn is o'fer this year, and UL has average 39 ppg, UConn giving 35 ppg, but didn't UC beat UL last yr 23-20 in L'ville?

New Mexico has lost 5 in a row to AF and now they are favored at home after losing toughy on the rd to SD St.

Iowa giving PU 14 1/2 down from 16 already? OK. Purdue beat Iowa in IC LY 27-24, that was a different team in PU and Iowa off big home beatdown to Wisky.

N C ST getting 8 1/2 now down from 9, Duke is favored? Why shouldn't they be? NC State makes more mistakes than good plays and their "D" can't stop the short game in the air. Duke actually runs the ball this year and have beaten 2 state of Va teams both on the road this year? Yeah, Duke gave up a ton of points to Pitt and they only beat Troy by 7 at home, I get all that, those games were how long ago?

Illinois @ Indiana, both teams 11-5 overs this year.

Florida St giving 35 on the road after thumping Miami FL by only 24? ok. WF lost LY @ FSU 52-zip. Is there a possible let down by FSU? Wake got shut out in Sillycuse LW.

Miami F giving just a touch to Va Tech? MF won LY 30-12, Canes will be a lil miffed and Morris should get his groove back, Thomas for Va Tech getting scrutinized, they are on the downslide, the Hokie pokies are.

Penn St & Minnysoda 11-5 overs this year combined, Penn St a 2 1/2 pt dog? Ok.

UNC giving 14 1/2 to UVA? Why shouldnt they? Didn't UNC beat UVA LY 37-13 @ UVA? Has UVA done anything this year? Coach O'Brien is at UVA helping get Mike London fired after this season is over with and Fedora happy with the "W" at State this past weekend, but, that's over with now.

Fresno @ Wyoming, Cowboys getting 11 opening line, now down to 9 1/2, could be some weather in this tilt since it's being played in Laramie, how will Fresno respond to cold weather if it comes to that? Fresno still unbeaten at 8-0 this year, Cowboys have staggered since their great early 3 game showing this year. Stay tuned!

Mississippi giving 17 to Arkansas? WOW!! Ole Miss won at Arkie last year 30-27, Coach B's team just off Auburn thumping at home, still trying to get some type of good showing this year in the SEC, Collins is due to have a great running game and Ole Miss just doesn't stop anyone from scoring, evidenced by giving 25 ppg, Ark does score at 20 ppg clip, 17 just looks really high here.

Nebraska @ Michigan, Wolverines off embarassing showdown vs MSU, their QB is a ? but that wasn't said yet in the opening numbers of -7 for Michigan, now down to -6, Michigan beat Bugeaters 45-17 two yrs back but lost @ Nebraska last year 23-9. This could be a shootout cuz both defenses suck!

Notre Dame giving just 5 on the rd in the ACC to Pitt? ND has won L2 games only by ave margin of 3 pts winning, 29-26 @ home LY and 15-12 in 2011.

A&M giving just 19 now, up from -18 vs Miss State, I like States big brute at QB, but can they keep up with A&M's offense here on the "D" side of the ball? LY A&M won 38-13 @ MSU, that's 25 pt spread, hmm.. A&M had cake walk vs UTEP, that might as well had been a scrimmage for Johnny Heisman, this game could get ugly.

Ark State getting 6 @ ULM? ASU has won 3 straight in this matchup and they won at USA by 1 after being down DD early to USA. ULM thumped Troy badly at Troy, ULM going for their 6th win to help with Bowl bid, this will be a shootout of some sort.

Southern Miss is a mess folks, they are 0-8 this year, they were 0-11 LY, La Tech with Holtz' boy coaching is 3-5 this year and they are giving 15 1/2? Ok. This seems like a huge mismatch, but something is very fishy with that small of a line when a team like USM is giving up 45 ppg and LT is only scoring 19 ppg.

Auburn giving 7 on the road after rd win at Ark, to Tenn, Tenn QBs all banged up, coach is trying to get a great effort from younger players and this will be played at home in Knoxville, UT has the #2 schedule in the country and just got their ears boxed by Mizzou on the rd, now face Auburn's offensive attack and 7 might be too small of a number to lay, or is it to much? We shall see

UCLA @ AZ, a classic matchup, two good offensive clubs from the PAC99, both teams score at 37 & 36 ppg clips, UCLA had Colorado LW, AZ beat Cal by only 5 giving up DD as RF? AZ is 5-0 L5 ATS vs UCLA, stay tuned.

and probably the most heavily wagered on game of the week, Bama vs LSU Mad Hatters, Bama opens giving 10 1/2, up to 11 now, both teams scoring at 40 & 41 ppg clips, both teams known for their defensive battles in the past, but this one in Tuscaloosa appears to be a scoring machine game don't it? I have Bama winning by 12 with my numbers, but with #1 ranking over Bama's heads and Tigers wanting to take them down and take them down hard this could be last years' A&M vs Bama upset type game or it could be a major blowout. Stay tuned!!

I'd like to see Iowa win as well, I believe their starting QB is out? I know offensively Sat vs Wisky they didn't show up at home. Will have to dig deep into this game vs PU as Hazel has his teams show up when least expected, hence their play vs ND was awesome but since then vs ND, PU has not done too well, oh and yeah, they got shut out vs Ohio State at home which makes PU dangerous.

Will be an interesting week with the number of undefeateds still left, some intense rivalry type games and some coaches hanging on to their jobs by a thread, hence, Bo Pellini bread for the Bugeaters and London at UVA. Cal has their last home game vs USC this weekend, then ends it's season the last 2 on the road, USC off big TV win vs OREG ST last Friday and Orgeron supposedly auditioning for the job at USC, but me thinks that Haden is looking elsewhere for a HC that has ties to USC as a former player, coach, alumn, etc.

Should have some plays up late tomorrow evening once I get some totals from Vegas.

OVER 57 1/2 WESTERN KENTUCKY/ARMY (3 units):sadwave: Army with weak scoring "D" giving 31 ppg, WK scoring at 31 ppg, too bad they give up 27 per game, Army's running game will put dents in Hilltoppers, should be a 42-31 type game

OVER 54 FLORIDA ST/WAKE FOREST (5 units):00hour Noles off huge win at home vs MF LW, Wake lost one of their better WRs but can be a live dog at home, last year they lost to FSU 52-0 at Tally, this time Jameis gets the same points here but FSU may give up at least a touchdown late in the game, FSU 56 WF 7

TULANE +8 1/2 (2 units):00hour Tulane was a fav by many of us last wk vs FAU, somehow they lost their tiny lead and got crushed the last Qtr in Boca Raton, this time they face the Roadrunners who got a great win vs Tulsa last wk, reverse effect here, Green Wave should keep this to a FG, TSA 34 TULANE 31.

COLORADO ST -9 (2 units) :00hour Rams by 11, Nevada off tough L3 games, CSU playing better of late even with bad beat at home to Boise, they should rebound here and win, 38-27!

NEBRASKA +7 (1 unit):00hour Both teams not stopping anyone, big QB for Michigan still a bit gimp, lefty QB waiting in the wings, Michigan in revenge mode, Nebraska in state of urgency mode, Michigan 28 Neb 24

TEXAS A&M -19 (3 units) A&M at home folks is tough to beat and they can rack up points and in a hurry, even their BU QB can rack up pts with Johnny on the bench, A&M beat State by 25 LY @ State, this time it's more like 49-21 type game, A&M BLOWOUT.

EAST CAROLINA -17 (2 units) Pirates at home vs demoralized Tulsa program who will probably fire their HC after this year is over with, their QB, Green, transfer from NEB, has been hot and cold and nursing injuries, ECU focused and have the "D" to shut down Tulsa at home, ECU 42 TU 17

MARYLAND -6 1/2 (1 unit) :sadwave: Syracuse got their shutout win at home LW vs WF, this time they travel again in the ACC to Crab Cake city and the Terps running game and QB should get them a 10 pt win, 27-17.

OVER 55 1/2 BYU/WISCONSIN (1 unit) :sadwave: Classic non-conference game, Wisky doesn't play well at home vs NC opponents, Wisky HC familiar with BYU program when he was at Utah St, Cougars want a big game win like this and on the road it will be tough, but feel the Cougars can keep this within 3.

OVER 64 HOUSTON/UCF (1 unit) Houston has had some rest after winning LW on TV by 12 over USF, now they face a very strong UCF program that's a bit under the radar, this has a classic shootout written all over it in Orlando, have UCF winning 37-30

OVER 44 VA TECH/MIAMI F (1 unit) Va Tech going in the wrong direction, MF off huge rd loss at Tally, MF now in recover mode, MF beat VT LY 30-12, this game should be a lil more scoring from Va Tech "O", Miami 31 VT 24.

NOTRE DAME -5 (3 units) This line is screwy, Pitt has stuck around L2 games vs ND by 3 points in each, this time Irish passing game may throw a shocker at the Panther "D", ND 34 Pitt 24

OVER 55 LSU/ALABAMA (1 unit) Defensive battles the past few, this year both teams have given up more yards and pts than in recent L3 season, Tiger seniors really want to get the "W" away this year and Bama focusing on one game at a time, big backs for LSU may be the diff here, but it will come down to turnovers and whomever gives up the most TOs will lose, ALA 31 LSU 27
