Some fresh suggestions:

If you have NetFlix, you gotta check out House of Cards. Better get through the first season quick (it'll be easy because it's addicting) because the 2nd season is being released on Feb 14th in its entirety (thats the way netflix chose to do it). All the acting and storyline is incredible, but Spacey is just masterful in this show. It's a must watch.

A new show for the new year, looks promising, due to premier Jan 12 on HBO, is True Detective. Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, how can you go wrong? Check out the trailer:
