LSU's lone injury is #2 TE Demetri Robinson who will not play. OG Nate Livings is available, but Rudi Niswanger has outplayed Livings in a relief role in the eyes of the coaching staff. Shy Carey is 100%. The nimble Carey is not blessed with blazing speed, but he is a perfect compliment to the big bruising TBs and is especially effective stretching the field laterally and using cutback lanes against the grain. He has good hands and great vision making him LSUs most potent threat out of the backfield in the passing game.
The following info is from the website of LSU Guru "Dandy" Don Long:
The LSU Tigers have wrapped up preparations for the Alabama game and will have a light walk through practice today. According to my inside sources, LSU has had a great week of practice and the team is anxious to play the game. I have been told that Shyrone Carey has had an excellent week of practice and is being counted on to have a big game against Alabama. Nate Livings returned to practice Thursday and is now listed as probable for the game. The Tigers are a six and a half point favorite over The Tide and have been picked to win the game in all the predictions I have seen, but all the "experts" are picking LSU to win by less than a touchdown. I picked LSU to win 27-17.
I have received many emails from Tiger fans worried that LSU might be overlooking Alabama for the Ole Miss game and I can assure all Tiger fans that this is not the case. Coach Saban, his coaches and team leaders know that Alabama is the best 4-6 college football team in the nation and the Tide could easily be 8-2 or 7-3 on the season. I believe that LSU is going to win the game, but if they do not win it will not be because the team is not ready to play the game.
