A couple of years ago, coming back from Bermuda, I arranged to have a 7 hour layover at Newark Airport so I could take my wife to Manhattan.

It was very easy, once you got directions, taking the train. I don't remember what they call the rail system there but just ask security or an airline employee.

If I remember, it was about 30 mins ride to mid-town. Exited right there at the Garden. I'd recommend that exit if you haven't been there. Lots of cool stuff nearby. Trump Tower is close, FAO Schwarz, cool Catholic church.

Be careful. I was terrified. Never seen so many damn people in my life. Wall to wall humans.

Have fun!

agree with vinnie. limo is the only way i go out there. way too many people to mess with subway, and it costs teh same as a cab ride except it doesn't smell like your grandmother.

agreed. not worth the hassle of trying to figure everything else out. make sure you have cross streets where you are going or the cab may take you on a joy ride or ask the flat fare.
