got back from NYC Weds--First trip there--watched the Celtics/Knicks game Friday night/watched my niece in the Westminster Dog show and all kinds of other things--also was on "The Today Show" with my mom --what an amazing city--could not live there but sure enjoy the sites and all..Will go back for sure

I'm not surprised that you enjoyed it. I agree that NYC is flat out cool.

I was born there (lived in Brooklyn til age of 5) . Have been back twice as an 'adult' and had a great time. I struck out on my hotel selection the first trip, although the name of the hideous hotel escapes me. Last time, we stayed at the Roosevelt, which was just fine.

I would like to go this year , but have too much lined up in terms of vacations-- Chicago by myself, Hawaii with wife and kids, and Destin with wife's entire family:( Hoping it can work out for me next year, as I am very interested in dining at Le Bernardin (Eric Ripert).

whenever going to NYC I always use biddingfortravel.com and priceline and get rooms at 4 star hotels for 100-150 per night. NEVER fails and with a strategy, always get the area you want to be in:toast:
