I figured we would start a thread for the one and only game that starts early tomorrow.

Feel free to share ideas, angles, stats...... I don't want anyone missing this one tomorrow. I will be back with some stats and thoughts later.

this is a tough pick. with the listed pitchers, the over (?) looks good. for what it's worth, one of the cubs pitchers told me that maddux is due. i can't wait to see the ML.

Over looks really good; I agree, on paper at least. If Maddux is large juice, I am thinking Mets and a large over in the first five and over in the game. Maddux has problems early and then settles down, if he stays.. Will be interesting. I agree though this game is not an easy one to cap. NYM do struggle to produce runs lately.

Maddux at -173 seems absurd to me. Not saying the Cubs won't win, but he has done nothing to warrant that high of a price this season.

As other's have said bound, tough call.

Line on the total has dropped to 8 -111 at Pinnacle. I have a bad feeling about this game, but not willing to go with Maddux at -200.

Dammit, I just had lunch at a very well connected Korean restaurant, "Kimchi," where the word was that Seo was due after a rough start. Said he really wants to prove that South Korea can produce Major League talent. However, he needs a quality start against a quality team. What better way to secure a spot in the rotation than by prevailing against the much heralded 2004 Chicago Cubs and Greg Maddux. I like the Over 8, too. One of Seo's recent "fastballs" was clocked at 83mph!! And Maddux isn't exactly "bringing it" himself. Even Alice could hit that.

Alice, any other tidbits from the Cubbies pitcher:shrug: If you're tight with him, tell him I've got a house a stone's throw from Coors Field he can buy as a getaway from the crazy Chicago fans if they don't win the World Series this year:moon:

And Mets -1.5 at +274

The people is betting on the cubs, not in Maddux, the 1st 5 Inn are just -170, and the game -210, that means to me, the people beleive in the cubs, not so much in maddux!
