Hmm Have to give our liberal forum members a gold star on this one. Been waiting for 2 days for them to jump on NYT bandwagon but they were too smart as appears getting bitten on previous NYT agendas has takens it tolls on even the most ardent :)

Here is NYT report for reference--
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/24/w...22a7a0971b08007f&ex=1159156800&pagewanted=all

Appears the heads of NIE have lined up to debunk their yet another leak by un-named source--as if we don't know where thats coming from.

Have 2 questions I'd like to ask NYT
1st if they like using NEI as source why use leak info out of context that has not been privvy to any media I am aware of yet totally ignore disclosed reports like below from NEI that doesn't fit their agenda.

"From NIE, circa 2002:
We judge that Iraq has continued its weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs in defiance of UN resolutions and restrictions. Baghdad has chemical and biological weapons as well as missiles with ranges in excess of UN restrictions; if left unchecked, it probably will have a nuclear weapon during this decade. (See INR alternative view at the end of these Key Judgments.)

We judge that we are seeing only a portion of Iraq's WMD efforts, owing to Baghdad's vigorous denial and deception efforts. Revelations after the Gulf war starkly demonstrate the extensive efforts undertaken by Iraq to deny information. We lack specific information on many key aspects of Iraq's WMD programs (and here's the expanded CIA report here)

Fair and balanced :)

and in reading NYT article above I noticed their reference to "More recently, the Council on Global Terrorism, an independent research group of respected terrorism experts"

--and I thought who is this official sounding "independent " group I'd never heard of.
Did a little research and here are their "experts" from their website
++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Council members convene on a regular basis to exchange information and discuss strategy in the struggle against terrorism.*

Yep a real "independent crew with hands on experience :)

and one wonders why they again recently took big hit on circulation-ads revenue and stock price.

"the bunker"
dtb....wtf?...you`re starting to sound like that nutbar gardenweasel with the new york times obsession.....

lets get on to something important....like macacas or whether george allen owned a confederate flag or used the "n" word as a young man....

or valerie plame?....

or mike wallace cleaning the froth, foam and spittle from his suit?.....

why bother with the minutiae....like:

classified documents made public(actually, one paragraph of a 30 odd page document, taken out of context for political advantage)...

... or classified documents stolen from the national archives and stuffed in an ex national security advisor`s shorts and destroyed.......

or classified defense programs exposed?......

get your priorities straight,dtb.....bush is satan....

i wonder how many times Robert Bird used the "N" word:nono: :nono: :nono:

Why hasn't the leftist media been raising this issue???:nono: :nono: :nono:

Obviously some Bush-hater leaked his/her version/paraphrase/spin of a classified CIA report (again) yet the mainstream media could care less about the leak (in contrast to the supposed "outing" of a known CIA agent):nono: :nono: :nono:

im still waiting to find the leak. This stuff should be common knowledge even to an eight year old. Funny how i got so much heat in here telling a veteran that with the troops being sent over to Iraq it has caused thousand's of new Bin Ladens but now 18 agency's agree with me yet i will still be full of bullshit i guess. Its also pretty amusing how the Times prints the truth yet they are called leaks but outing a CIA agent because another guy printed the truth this is deemed okay. And why is it these so called leaks that make the Pres and the sneaky Vice pres are never called leaks when they are in their favor? Sometimes the truth stings.
