in one word-caucus

lets examine states that had both primary and caucus

Texas: How could one candidate garner almost a million and a half votes and win the primary by four points and lose the caucus by 12 points in the same state on the same day?

Wash St O wins primary by 5 points but caucus by 37 points.

Nebraska win primary by 2 points-caucus by 36 points

Idaho wins primary by 19 and caucus by 62 points.

A review of the caucuses has yielded reports of thousands of irregularities that resulted in 13 out of 14 caucus victories for Obama, a candidate who lost 21 out of 39 primaries.

here is link to long version by author of above data-including how it was accomlished (fraud)-but worth the read -especially if Hilliary supporter. :)

Because I don't agree with you on #'s only means one thing--one of us don't understand them.

Can't say I too disappointed over my # crunching through the years--you don't see me whining about or laying blame on past admins or events--
I take full responsibilty on the good and the bad.

Somehow i've ended up in the Twilight Zone.

I believe we are talking about economics--not dysfunctional personalities--I'll start thread on genetics if you want to discuss those #'s ;)

Appears some don't see any effect --

Over the past ten years, 8.8 million immigrants added about 3.4 percent to the population.

--has on economic equation. :)

"the bunker"
why even have caucases?.....the reason is,that it gives the party big wigs a lever to influence a primary in whicever way they choose to....

the dems are notorious for their creative means of election fraud....no,not your everyday democratic voter...they`re just doing their civic duty....

i`m talking about the local dnc honchos and party heads and organizers.....

what amazed me in that article was this little item...

"There were thousands of accusations of voter fraud in which voter preferences were written on scraps of paper or post-it notes, making it impossible to ascertain the legitimacy of these votes. """""Out-of-state voters were bused into caucus states where no identification was required en-masse, and caucus preference forms were filled in with the names of Obama supporters even before the caucus started. """"

bullshit?...look up "acorn",one of barack`s shady associations...

out of state voters bussed in?...no identification required?.....

this is why the dems want the identification requirement scrapped....it would effectively render every election a sham........

this woman may just be a disenchanted clinton suppporter..but it doesn`t take a brain surgeon to realize that the caucases(basically allowing a person to vote twice and opening up the process to insane corruption)is totally unnecessary and un-democratic...

one man/one vote....with i.d.....

the dnc picks the dem nominee...not the people...

but these morans have been so deeply indoctrinated by the media, that their brains have atrophied...

I particularily liked the late night caucus's where working folks and seniors were in bed. :)

Not saying lady was not pro Clinton as she admits--just some very interesting common sense issues she discusses in article--and pretty tough to dispute the #'s

Election Problems and/or Fraud = Diebold Corporation = Major Republican Party Contributors and Worshippers.

Pretty simple formula, with not much to have to consider.

No lipstick needed for THAT pig...

:00x19 <-- Closest thing to a pig smiley I could find - oh, the irony...

Political parties can chose any method to select their candidates. They could have Mr. Mel sniff the butt of one of two dogs named Hillary and Barry for all I care.

Honestly I don't see why the public should foot the bill for the primary elections in the first place. These private clubs should sort out their own inter-party elections.

Hmm Not one post disputing ladies allegations--guess that case is closed then.

Exactly how would one of us go about that, Wayne?

I haven't read the article and don't plan to, but I read your original post. Isn't this two totally different processes? One, you just have to show up, cast your vote, and leave. Another is much more involved and (I believe) is held only in certain places. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the voting majority of the state didn't match that of a caucus based on the fact that there are different levels of interest involved in the two types of options.

I really don't don't understand the caucus process very well, so if I'm wrong, let me know. I just don't think it is all that surprising.

Lost in the shuffle in all this is that the Democrats really need to take a look at their process. They keep nominating guys that are left of the majority of their party and the counrty, and it bites them in the ass in November in elections they should win. This isnt an issue of what side somebody is on but objective fact. Obama may well win, but this election has no business being close.

you can say the same thing about the republican party....the leadership of both parties is to extreme, left and right.... Americans are closer to the middle.....
