honolulu, Hi, USA
Heard rumor that Oakland's center, Robinson, has missed all meetings and practices. Will not play today. Is this fact or fiction?
Anyone heard the same? Comments please.

Just heard on ESPN that Barret Robbins has been sent home and will not play at all in todays game. This is HUGE, can't remember hearing something like this.

Go Bucs.

Just heard the same thing. You play your whole career to get to this game....and then pull this sh*t????

That seems real fishy to me. He was listed as questionable with the injury....so maybe he hurt it worse it in practice this week...and wasnt starting anyway.

Report: Raiders send All-Pro center home
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Associated Press home.<
SAN DIEGO (AP) _ The Oakland Raiders sent All-Pro center Barret Robbins home Sunday after he showed up late for the team's final meeting the night before the Super Bowl, ESPN reported.

Earlier Sunday, CBS SportsLine.com reported that Robbins missed several team events Saturday and didn't return until later in the evening. The Web site, citing sources it did not identify, said coach Bill Callahan told the team Robbins would be benched in favor of backup Adam Treu.

Robbins, a 6-foot-3, 320-pound player in his eighth season, was expected to help contain Tampa Bay's formidable defensive front, led by All-Pro tackle Warren Sapp. Robbins anchors a line that gave league MVP Rich Gannon enough time to throw for 4,689 yards and direct the NFL's most potent offense.

Robbins was selected to his first Pro Bowl this season, joining tackle Lincoln Kennedy on the team.

Robbins also has been bothered by a foot injury for much of the season, and he was listed as questionable for Sunday's game.

Robbins, who broke into the Raiders' starting lineup in 1996, injured his right knee last season and missed the final 14 games. The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Treu took his place.

Okay.....well that makes more sense then. Probably didnt sleep all week....and chemical imbalance pushed him over the edge.

One things for sure.....this guy wasnt going to the pro bowl for nothing.

Might want to take a little closer look at that Tampa Bay total sacks prop;)

ABC just reported the same thing. Many experts say losing your starting center can be a tougher adjustment for a team than losing any other starter, including QB. I guess we're not going to see too many +4's out there now, more money will come in on TB.

There is one little ray of light. The back up Treu has played in 9 games this year helping rest Robbins sore foot. Most case was mop up duty. However hs has played alot and that is good. He also is only 20 pounds lighter. 330 down to 305/310 ant much differance.
