Oakland -2.5 over La-Laf ****
Oakland one of the top teams in the Summit has dominated in the past..last yr they got knocked out going to the big dance...They lost their pt gd who led the nation in scoring..but do return 4 starters and a great transfer from Providence in Mondy..Mondy can play...a 6'4 ball hawk that shuts you down on defense and led Prov. in steals...Oakland has the other 4 starters back with Bader who had 26 pts the other nite vs a D-3 team...they have a 6'10 air craft carrier in Petros..Valentine can score...these guys can score pts...Laf lost almost its whole team..transfers,graduated,quit,etc...most of all the scorers...they do have some transfers in that will try to plug their wholes...but Oakland is too good..they already played a game under their belt and being on the road shouldn't be a factor....think Mondy will be an impact player..he had 3 steals,and 9 asts in his 1st game.....
Don't have time to capp anymore games today...Manhattan is -18.5 over Louisville.....Jaspers are good this yr with Beamon and co...but their front line cannot match the Cards....last yr I took the points in this game thinking Massillo the Jaspers coach who was an asst under Pitino... and Ricky would take it easy on him....forgot the score but it was something like 85-60..no mercy even for a friend...Cards should win if both teams bring their A game..MAAC teams cannot control the paint vs the biggies...unless you have a big player...most front lines in the MAAC are 6'5,6'6...Louie has gds that size...GL..thanks for the comments yesterday....Army up 27-20 at the half over AF....but the flyboys woke up...

Am moving on Wed am to Austin,texas...been in NY since 1974 after I graduated from North Texas...that's 38 yrs...taught and coached all of those yrs...my wife is down there now...locking up the house,and taking Mambo my cocker spaniel on the plane with me...$150 for me and $180 for him..I asked Delta if he sits next to me its cheaper...but he's to big.....in about 10 minutes I'm going down to my deli and have breakfast with my boys...did it yesterday.. will miss that more then anything...trying to capp down there will be different too....can't watch Marist games on local TV or go to them...have read the Daily News and Post my entire life.. now.the Austin Chronicle...never read a newspaper that's the length of the NY times...I have to go online and read the newspapers.... my high school has a pool on " how long I will last"...its starts Jan 2nd because they know my wife would kill me...I plan to come back in march....no more snow,ice...never did buy that snow blower..complained here enough about shoveling..anyway will post tomr and take a few days off...looking forward to chicken fried steak and barb-q...but will miss my pizza and pasta...GL today
