That was an easy Grade 3 win
Yeah, I think she likes 4-horse fields.

What"s the long term goal? Get a Grade 1 win? Or just pick up as much black type as you can and then sell her?
I mean, obviously a G1 would be awesome. Don't know how likely it is, especially because if she stays in California, she's going to have to beat better Baffert horses to win a G1.

She would probably need another perfect set-up like today to get a G1. She really seems to hate getting dirt kicked in her face, so she needs to be on or damn near the lead. And usually Baffert horses are in the same position.

Her lineage is ok, but not great, so I don't know that she'll have a ton of value in the breeding shed unless she gets a G1.

Very cool! Reminds me of a fun story. Years ago, a buddy and me started following a horse named Pick Six. I don't even remember why exactly. But we bet him every time he ran and went to see him when he ran at Saratoga. He was trained by Shug McGaughey. Well, we were at the rail for one of his races, and afterwards, when the trainers walk them off the track, we noticed Shug walking him right towards us. So we strike up a quick conversation. Told him we were fans of the horse, etc etc. Quick conversation, of course, but we were excited to chat with a Hall of Fame trainer, and especially because it was about one of his lesser-known horses, by far. The next day, we looked up a photo of Shug. Turns out, the guy we were talking with was an assistant trainer. Kinda looked like Shug but wasn't him. Whoopie.

Anyway, if you ever make your way up to Saratoga, definitely let me know. I live 20 minutes from the track. Well, over 30 during track season.
I sure will

You talk about favorite horses. I guess Easy Goer would be my favorite of all time with Unbridled being second. I plan on going next month to visit 3 of my more recent favorites at Coolmore, Justfied, Sierra Leone, and American Pharaoh if he’s back from Japan.

Awesome! If AP is there, go ahead and throw a saddle on him and take him out for a spin. Tell 'em Smitty said it was ok.

I'll write to you in jail. :)
