I know one thing for sure--you didn't see that on the "W"ET network.

Your prob trench- your own like Jessie and Co are responsible for keeping you down--not us.

They keep giving you excuses for failure and you keep buying into them rather than admit your responsible for your own destiny.

Look around--there are lots of successful black people--ask them about opportunity and use them as role model--you never know --5 years from now they may wean you from that gov tit and have against tax increases if you heed their advice.

Sounds like Rusty's example with the Indians. The problem is that I don't know which one of you is the bigger racist. Keep trying though.

I love how I get dragged into it all the time.

I'm sorry
For something I didn't do
Lynched somebody
But I don't know who
You blame me for slavery
A hundred years before I was born

Guilty of being white

I'm a convict
Of a racist crime
I've only served
19 years of my time

Hate to tell you but doubt the 3 blacks I play with tomorrow share your opinion--however they are against taxes also and a bit above your pecking order.

--however appears the entire forum is unanimous on who the biggest deadbeat is as I've had no takers yet :)

Really pisses DTB off that no one has come forward to state that I am a deadbeat. Isn't it funny that all the deadbeats seem to be from your side?

Interesting - Wease, DTB, O'Reilly, Beck, Fox News, spurred on by right wing Breitbart's website, tear into this juicy assumption of reverse racism, without (evidently) needing to know context, the entire story, or the timeframe of the actions. As we learn more, I'll be curious to see how people continue to talk about this, and if they feel their initial responses were appropriate - or even realistic. As we learn more:

The comments were taken out of context, however. In her remarks that day, Sherrod was recounting a story that pre-dates her tenure at the USDA by more than two decades. Sherrod says in her story that Chapter 12 bankruptcy had just been enacted; Chapter 12 was instituted for family farmers in 1986, while Sherrod was appointed to head the USDA's Rural Development office in Georgia just last July. Furthermore, the point of Sherrod's story is that race is not an issue.

Sherrod has said the video excerpt did not include the full story of her relationship with the farmer, with whom she says she became friends after helping him avoid foreclosure.

and this:

Sherrod Helped Keep Us Out of Bankruptcy, Farmer's Wife Says
Posted by Stephanie Condon

Shirley Sherrod was forced to resign from the Department of Agriculture because of recent remarks she made that, taken out of context, suggested she discriminated against a white farmer. That farmer's wife, however, is saying Sherrod is a "friend for life" who saved their family farm from foreclosure.

Sherrod served as director of rural development in Georgia until Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack forced her to resign after she came under scrutiny for remarks she gave at an NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet on March 27. A video of a portion of her remarks were posted on a conservative blog, giving the impression that Sherrod admitted to discriminating against a white farmer as an employee of the USDA.

The incident in question, however, took place two decades ago, and the wife of the farmer in question told told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Sherrod "kept us out of bankruptcy."

"Her husband told her, 'You're spending more time with the Spooners than you are with me,' " Eloise Spooner, the wife of the farmer, told the AJC. "She took probably two or three trips with us to Albany just to help us out."

Spooner also remarked on CNN this afternoon, Sherrod "helped us save our farm by getting in there and doing all she could do to help us."

Interesting, huh? I'll be interested to see what O'Reilly does tonight, and what our beloved reverse-racism crew has to say when the entire story continues to come to light.

At the very least, it appears the people who were so discriminated against could not feel more differently than the indignant ones posting here, and having a bully pulpit to scream "racist" from.

how`d i do that?.....the obama adm. dumped her didn`t they?....

answer:...yes they did...

you need to take it up with your personal deity.......not me...i didn`t force her out....

""Shirley Sherrod, the former Georgia director of Rural Development, said she received a phone call from the USDA's deputy undersecretary Cheryl Cook on Monday while she was in a car. Cook told her that the White House wanted her to call it quits.
"They called me twice," Sherrod told the Associated Press. "The last time they asked me to pull over the side of the road and submit my resignation on my Blackberry, and that's what I did."

don`t blame wease(the messenger)...:0008 ....

In the shadows
Chad,

does it really matter when the incident occured?

That's all fine and dandy that the farmers wife said Shirl
shirleyoval210op.jpg
is wonderful person.

Did the farmers wife know that
shirleyoval210op.jpg
said what she had said ?

I guess we all just base everything on the Robert Byrd (D)
kkk.gif
standard vs Strom Thurmond (R) standard?

Let's no bullshit the bullshitter, nor snow the snowman man, You know why?

They call me frosty !

If you were in any form descriminated against in the slightest, as well as I would be, you you be fucking heated. Where I live where it is predominately "No Hablas" and yo hablo espanol, I know what the fuck these turds are saying, I get overlooked being seated at restaurants, the pharmacy, you name it, I don't put up with the shit.

I never supressed anyone unless I was given orders too, and that should not dictate what happens here.

These 25 hour news stations pray for this type of crap to happen, and they all run around with their hands on their dicks seeing who can piss the furthest and yell the loudest about it.

I have said many times, fuck all of them, move away from their brainwashing and educate the dumbasses, rusty included :toast: about alternatives to the one party sytem. If you vote for left or right, why not just vote for a baked potato?

let me say this...if all that`s being reported now is true,i was snookered...as was the naacp and obama...

i posted what was reported....i`m good, but i`m not good eneough to know when comments are taken out of context without seeing the unedited speech...

but i broke my own 24-hour rule...i should have waited before posting...mea culpa...

still, i didn`t compound the mistake by going off half-cocked and firing the woman...

the obama administration has the wherewithal to investigate the matter....they certainly shouldn`t have fired her without giving her a chance to defend herself and her actions...

k.c....if i shouldn`t post because i reported something that was altered or taken out of context without knowledge of it,what should happen to obama?...he literally threw this woman under the bus before knowing all the facts...much like the cop that was involved with his hot-tempered professor friend from the beer summit....

even after the fact, tom vilsack is sticking to his guns...pretty stupid,i`d say...

"""Yesterday I asked for and accepted Ms. Sherrod?s resignation for two reasons.

First, for the past 18 months we have been working to turn a page on the sordid civil rights record of the USDA, and this controversy could make it more difficult to move forward on correcting injustices.

Second, state and rural development directors make many decisions and are often called to use their discretion. The controversy surrounding her comments would create situations where her decisions, rightly or wrongly, would be called into question, making it difficult for her to bring jobs into Georgia.

Our policy is clear. There is zero tolerance for discrimination at USDA, and we strongly condemn any act of discrimination against any person. We have a duty to ensure that when we provide services to the American people, we do so in an equitable manner. But equally important is our duty to instill confidence in the American people that we are fair service providers.

if the comments were truly taken out of context, then theres no reason for this woman to be fired...

sounds like vilsack`s sack is lacking a pair....and obama...

rather than fix the problem and admitting they were wrong, the administration is going to defend their own stupidity by compounding the mistake?....

hell,am i more of a stand-up guy than the leaders of our country?...

i sure hope not...for sherrod`s sake....for the country`s sake...

do the right thing,dudes...give the woman her job back...or another position...

i`m sure theres more to come....

Good observations, Wease, always nice to see retrospection. One thing that immediately occurred to me with the Obama admin supposedly (she says) asking her to step aside - isn't this a product of the whole situation of Obama being examined so closely on race issues? Of course - EVERYONE who took this at face value thinks this black woman should be fired for what she did to a white person - i.e. racism in narrow form. So, the administration acts quickly (often ridiculed for taking too much time to act, right?) and aggressively against a black person's presumed racist act - and now they are being ridiculed for acting too quickly.

Falls into the "can't win" department, doesn't it? And if they do come back out and say she should be rehired, Obama will be looked at as defending a black person who at least in part participated in racist activities.

Of course, nothing of value in this black woman taking three trips WITH this white family to assist them in the new option of bankruptcy, instead of giving them a handout. How will conservatives handle that sticky wicket?

Wow, this situation is a doozy, ain't it?

Always enjoy reading your posts Chadman ,but I think your reaching here. Why would they retract what is already done?Would only make matters worse.Even if they feel they made a mistake my thinking would be to let it go.
