I don't like the new trend in calling views on these things "evolving", because it reeks of "waiting for it to be politically expedite before saying I'm for it".

But I will give him credit for perhaps coming out in support of gay marriage a decade before it becomes a politically good idea.

I don't think so. In fact it's such a new idea historically that I am pretty lenient with people who don't support gay marriage. It?s just such a new concept.
I do have a lot less empathy for people who are militant in their opposition, and stubborn to the point of refusing to consider the issue in a modern context.

Beating someone over the head in order to change their mind rarely works. And that goes for both sides of this (and most?) debate.

Nice attempt at trying to be funny. Whats ridiculous is if someone doesn't agree that homosexuality is acceptable, they're "wrong", or they're labeled as racist or bigoted. That makes about as much sense as someone saying that because someone is openly gay and supports the gay/alternative lifestyle that they're wrong, racist and bigoted.

There are always going to be differing opinions and thats ok. However, the liberals are quick to label anyone who doesn't buy into their thinking as described above. No one likes to be judged or labeled for their beliefs. It goes both ways.
