more silliness from the extreme left.....some leftwing blogs are seething because of this statement from barack obama.....
""If President Bush vetoes an Iraq war spending bill as promised, Congress quickly will provide the money without the withdrawal timeline the White House objects to because no lawmaker "wants to play chicken with our troops," Sen. Barack Obama said Sunday...
but, that`s not all he said.....you have to take it in context.....the statement:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2007-04-01-obama_N.htm?csp=34
i respect him for stating this....but,he`s incorrect in saying that "no lawmaker "wants to play chicken with our troops",because if "no lawmaker" felt that way, that bill wouldn`t exist.....
it`s not a capitulation to bush...it`s an acknowledgment that the troops in harms way won`t be used as pawns and that obama will continue to fight to put forth a veto-proof majority that can agree on a change of direction in the war.....
i respect that.....that sounds realistic and statesman-like....
poor obama...he makes mature rational statements and his stock plummets in the mess that is the liberal mind......
he used to be articulate, bright, good looking and even CLEAN....
now?.....he`s rabidly turned on for not meeting their unreasonable standards....
i was pretty much indifferent to obama up to this point, but if the extreme lefties are in a snit about him, i'll take another look....
he might be a worthwhile human being after all, and i rarely say that about any politician/lawyer/media type/academic....
