DEAR RAYMOND -

I need some business advise.

Today we are working at a construction site, nobody around but me and four guys that work for me.

Two Americans , two Mexicans. All hard working good guys. All citizens been with me years.

American guy says something to the effect of you got your green card on Buford Highway for five bucks, older mexican tells him to shut up or get his ass kicked. They are always joking around so I told them to knock it off and get back to work. Next thing I know , these two are swinging shovels at each other.

maybe you should fire both of them and show them who is the boss or lay them off for a week:SIB

Yeh I am talking to them in the AM before work.

No way I can fire them both. :scared

I am not going to lie, there are times I have used illigals in the past. If you put them with the mexican guys they really work hard and lingo is not a problemo.

Down here there are so many of them I think its differant than in Philly area. Its very tempting to pick them up , pay them 10 bucks a hour for the grunt work. Just two of them takes alot of pressure off the crew if you do it right.

I havnt done it in over a year though.

one of these two looks presidential .

Can you pick the one ?

Hint - One candidate is in Europe talking to US Allies to cheering crowds in the tens of tousands, waving American flagsand clapping his statements.

The other is in a town hall meeting in Kansas, arguing with reporters, and making jokes to his volunteers.

Israeli paper publishes Obama Western Wall prayer
Posted: 12:00 PM ET

The prayer Barack Obama allegedly left in the cracks of Jerusalem's Western Wall.

JERUSALEM (AP) ? A written prayer that Barack Obama left this week in the cracks of the Western Wall, Judaism's holiest site, asks God to guide him and guard his family, an Israeli newspaper reported Friday.

"Lord ? Protect my family and me," reads the note published in the Maariv daily. "Forgive me my sins, and help me guard against pride and despair. Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just. And make me an instrument of your will."

The paper's decision to make the note public drew fire. The rabbi in charge of the Western Wall, Shmuel Rabinovitz, said publishing the note intruded in Obama's relationship with God.

"The notes placed between the stones of the Western Wall are between a person and his maker. It is forbidden to read them or make any use of them," he told Army Radio. The publication "damages the Western Wall and damages the personal, deep part of every one of us that we keep to ourselves," he said.

Another Israeli paper, Yediot Ahronot, published an article Friday saying it had also obtained the note but decided not to publish it to respect Obama's privacy.

There are a lot of potential running mates that McCain could visit as he jets around the country ? Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Florida Gov. Charlie Crist or Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, for instance, three governors mentioned frequently as possible running mates.

Have heard quite a bit locally, recently, that Pawlenty is picking up steam in party circles to be the V.P. nominee. Supposedly, Minnesota is a tossup state at the moment, although I doubt that will turn out to be the case. I have a close friend who is pretty plugged in to the local Twin Cities Republican Party (donates regularly, hob nobs with the honchos, etc.), that said long ago that Pawlenty was on the extreme short list if McCain won the primary race. Florida and Crist seems like a sensible pick, but Pawlenty is a young, well-spoken, positive figure that is at least not disliked much in his own swing state. VERY different than McCain in his presentation. Although, I don't think Pawlenty alone will help McCain carry Minnesota - pretty strong liberal base in the population centers here.

Trouble for McCain is that Americans are not picking a VP , they are picking a President.

These choices are hogwash. I hope McCain takes one of these inexperianced boolahs.

No-Brainer: McCain will choose Joe Lieberman. "Why?" you ask... 1. They're BFF's. 2. Lieberman's been working on his ventriloquism skills since March when he still had to correct McCain's gaffes by whispering in his ear. You watch... the next time you see McCain and Lieberman together, McCain will be sitting on Lieberman's lap. Word on the street is Lieberman can even drink a glass of water while McCain's talking now.
