Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.
Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it ?Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold.?
The note was a follow-up to Ensign?s questioning at the markup.

Yep I've always wondered which was the lie--O talking about the 47 million we need to cover (includes bout 15 to 17 million illegals) or his statement that always follows -we will not cover illegals. Believe we are getting closer to the answer--

You pay now for illegals via ER. Your high premiums, why don't you get that?

How about 45 million uninsured and under insured. People who think they have insurance because they pay a monthly premium and have a high aaassss deductible and when they need the coverage they find out they are not covered, or denied, or dropped or left holding the bag for most of the cost.

People say that won't happen to me! How do you think insurance companies profits keep going up with fewer people enrolled? They don't give you what you paid for. They drop you when it looks like you'll cost them money. They raise premiums on whoever is left. Every premium you ever paid is non-refundable That's how they keep the scram going.
