Here is link that has daily news from most media sources on political process.
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/index.html

My opinion to date: Is what exactly I expected.
A leopard can't change his spots--Was extremely liberal in Ill senate/ranked most liberal in senate--pandered to liberal elements during nonimation run--rhetoric turned 180 degrees after securing nomination to try and garner independents--then reverts back to his roots.

to date bills signed:
Gitmo and the pandering to terrorist.

Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act--which basically opens the door wide to all manner of job-discrimination lawsuits.

Pending The stimilus fiasco which is basically extremly weak on stimulus and laden with social welfare programs.
Topic thread here if you wish to debate merits
http://www.madjacksports.com/forum/showthread.php?t=355908

on nominations-laden with Ill comrades--tax cheats-and attorney general who is more famous for pardoning criminal than prosecuting.

Plans I expect in coming weeks--finally cutting a federal program--any guess which? Same all liberals cut defence budget--yep even during these times. Of course "these times" will be downplayed until we are hit again--interesting headlines today--
"Under Obama, `war on terror' catchphrase fading"
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090201/ap_on_go_pr_wh/war_on_terror;_ylt=ApxNu4fD2HuRKL.Nxc00EMF34T0D

--and speaking of todays headlines--my hypocritic story of the decade.
"Obama Praises Iraq Elections"
http://www.wtvynews4.com/news/headlines/38760542.html

After doing everything in their power to avert such headlines--now they're praising them?

In consensus from conservation point of view--I'm giving him a D grade on substance--

--and giving him an F on his rhetoric of change--

-as we have same ole weak on terror/defence and strong on entitlements--no swamp draining--increased pork- only diff -its in spades now.

I got to give him a A for putting his team in place.

Another A for reaching across the ailse

And a B for making a smooth transition and overturning some of Bushs stupid bills.

And a A+ for keeping us safe from terrorists attacking America for more than two weeks now.

And A for energy. He has worked more hours already in a week than Bush worked in a month.

And A for not taking a vacation yet.

And B for inviting Republicans to watch Super Bowl with him.

CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN !:00hour

What was Bush's stand on home ownership.

Look here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNqQx7sjoS8

Funny not the same picture that DTB paints but then again nothing is.

I completely agree with you and I know that DTB is not going to respond because that is the way he rolls.

But if you look at this closer. What was in it for Bush and Cheney to get people into these sub prime loans.

If you follow the money, who benifited ?

that would help me understand this video more better

I didn't hear the banks or the mortgage companies or Wall Street complain while they were making hand over fist. Now things get tough and they go begging hat in hand. Bush went on tv begging for this bailout to be passed. To be passed without any over sight. Puts the guy who was in charge of one of the troubled companies in charge. Without oversight! McCain and Obama both stopped their campaigns to be sure to vote for this crap. The same guys who are foreclosing our houses we are keeping in business. In short, everybody benefited except the working man.

You been answered twice in this thread alone--

Might I suggest you quit corrupting threads that are too deep for you and confine yourselves to your little 2 man thread below --
Bush and Home Ownership

Where you can discuss your ideas on level playing field with mutual interest.

That's right Dogs keep belittleing those who are right. You still think Viet Nam was a good idea!

Oh yes, by the way, how do you feel about what Bush said in the video? Here is the link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNqQx7sjoS8

Would like to see the opinion of someone who is so smart as to support both Viet Nam and Iraq. How about it? Did you hear Bush say give mortgages to people with bad credit? What did he say about people who do not have a down payment? In his own words. Right under your nose. Yet you want to pretend that it doesn't exist. Well guess what. It does!

You Liberals crack me up, the cabinet is being filled with TAX CHEATS. I would like to see some clips where Daschel is only asking Americans to pay their FAIR SHARE.

JMHO.

Daschel should have not been appointed & if there is a shred of conscious, that even considers the American people that he is supposed to serve, he will not be confirmed..... same for Geitner... VP biden was a bad choice with his bush/cheney like 5 deferments.... I have said it here many times... THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LEFT & RIGHT, WHERE IT COUNTS... most of us waste time defending the two parties, that have joined against us ...

Obama missed a huge chance to gain respect and trust from, not only those of us who voted for him but all Americans.... all he had to do when daschel & geitner were exposed is cut them off at the knees and move on... All he had to say : they are not qualifided to serve... all he had to say : I don't want people in our government that have a sense of entitlement and think they are better than the people they are called to serve....He would have bankrolled big time political clout.... why is the obvious to me not so, to our wannabe leaders.... Most of these people that defended geitner, including the media said : he was the only one or the best person to get the job done.... If you believe that, you should not have a voice in the process... We have suede way over the edge the last 8 yrs and we need drastic change to right the ship..... I don't see it so far... Some one said that great presidents are not born or just happen... Some one has to push them to greatness..... It going to have to come from people in his own party , the media and the American People.... It doesn't look good..
