everything OKC throws up from the outside (Kristic, Westbrook, Weaver, it doesn't matter) goes in and Dallas can't hit from the outside. OKC up 14 and it doesn't look good for the Mavs.:sadwave:

This is why I laugh at people who try to baffle at the thought of games being fixed.

Please tell me how at ANY level of basketball, fuck, I'll take ANY sport....where a team who's 36-23 loses to a team who's 14-45...oh, and the 2 best players on that 14-45 team are NOT PLAYING.

I don't want to hear that "it's the nba, they're all nba players." bullshit....

25-7 run for OKL to start 3rd quarter....Mavs down by 20! Kiss this one good bye for Mavs. Totally figures....Thunder missing their best two players and winning by 20!? Whatever....

I disagree... This was a trap from the beginning.. I just wish I got in before the 2nd half; I think once the game was out of reach Dallas turned it on to make it just look like a game....

So the team Dallas barely beat at home wins the rematch, and it's fixed?

Yep, best way to fix a game is to enlarge the rims at one end so one of the teams can hit almost every shot it takes from the outside. True geniuses to think that one up.

SP,

I never said or alluded to this game being fixed -- Dallas just sucks sometimes -- as does the NBA -- although there are some very BLATANT moments in games when a spread be it a side or a total seems to be in the consciousness of either some of the players or coaches..why else foul down 9 with 17 seconds left or not foul down 7 with 22 seconds left? It sure makes me wonder..Definitely not obvious in college, but in the NBA it sure does appear fishy at times. Would you agree?

The same team that had Kevin Durant and Jeff Green playing? YES...even thought Durant got hurt and only played a few minutes, but still...HUGE difference

Put this into context...

This is why I bet all games the same...Any game can lose. Are some games fixed? Probably now and then in all sports. Are all games that do not go down as they should fixed? No... Does it matter in the overall scheme? Only if one game can kill you. Making consistent profit over time is all that matters..."Never too high, Never too low" On to the next day...Just my opinion...

good points TDP...definately agree.

i for one have said that i don't think every game is fixed, but i do think there are the ocassional question marks out there. afterall, it has been PROVEN that NBA games have been fixed in the past...and anyone who thinks it was just 1 guy, well LOL, you're pretty naive!

so why not try and factor in the fix in your capping??? I know I do, as does BoundBook and we seem to do ok?

Like the old saying goes.... "IF it looks too good to be true, you've probably DRANK too much!"

wait, that's my virgin! at closing time!

"IF it looks too good to be true, HIRE A LAWYER!!" no... that's the minority version.... when they legitimately get DENIED ANYTHING! :nono:

"IF it looks too good to be true, IT PROBABLY isn't!" There you go... I knew I could find the original text.

The whole "fixed" concept is a real myth to me though. If you consider the mathematical possibilities involved, and yeah, you might have figured it out already, I'm a numbers kinda guy, it's really absolutely nearly MATHEMATICALLY impossible for the end of a game to be "FiIXED". We would have to be using ROBOTS, not humans, and as good as these guys are, they CANNOT make or miss when they want. IF they could, wouldn't they all average 100 and make KOBE/SHAQ money????

Come on, nobody probably plays as many games as me in a day in the NBA (because I play em ALL!!!!!! :D) so nobody is more susceptible to the "fix" than me. YET, I realize it's just "numbers" working themselves out. The Law Of Averages my friend, not the "fix". I lose alot at the end, and I win alot at the end, and I think it has to do alot more with the law of averages than fixing. Like as was mentioned, it ONLY SEEMS more likely there's a fix when we have a bit TOO MUCH on a particular outcome.

Also, think about guys, we're not TALKING RHODE SCHOLARS here, half the league didn't graduate or GO to college, so you really think they are smart enough to do the math to fix a constantly moving betting line or one posted at the half???

The mere mental fatigue would put half the NBA on the DL after 3 QUARTERS!!!!!!

Not sure on this game never watched it I dont think bet on it either... BUT I PROMISE YOU THAT THE FIX WAS IN AGAIN THAT LAL WOULD NOT COVER THE EASY TO SEE TRAP (IMO) ON 2ND HALF LAL-8!!! (-13 OVERALL) LAL even got up a bunch and then seemed so sad when they couldnt make a shot after being up 22 and Mem all the sudden was awesome... It was scripted by the LALs again. Just like LAL vs Pho... I and Vegas cleaned up on Pho... LAL could have won that game ANY TIME they wanted!!!!

I believe wholeheartedly that there are a fix or two EVERY DAY in the NBA for sure! And LAL is usually running one of the scams... Now maybe Kobe bets against his team alot, or mgt is involved or whatever, but I can see a fix this year a MILE away! And I have been right a hell of a lot more than I have been wrong... Just look at my record since JAN 09 here... (when I changed alot of the way I do baskets... really started appying it in Feb 09; 1st college and now NBA)

Rander makes a pt that nobody can make or miss at will ALL THE TIME, but a ref can call offensive foul instead of blocking; or 3 second, or let someone clear an area with their arm to give room to shoot and miss a call.... refs can make games go over or under easily... very easily... just pull out the whistles for an over; let em play for an under... (or whatever)

EXACTLY..its the refs not the players in the nbs/nfl that control the outcomes..NOW if the line leads you one way or another then the fix is on and if you figure it out before hand money is there for the taking..:box2:
