Enfield would be wise to cash in his chips to go somewhere. Sell high. Great tourney, but his head coaching resume consists of 1 great season, 3 big wins. But, 10 losses including getting swept by Lipscomb or whatever they are called, along with teams like Stetson. His facilites are extremely limited and low rent there.Enfield talking with USC, a formality and he's listening to Pat Haden who came and watched his team play vs Fla on Friday. I really doubt Enfield will take the job, but everyone else is passing it up that's worth a damn, so who knows!

Howland to USC? I heard the rumor from Andy Katz, but also heard that Howland is considering staying out and going into broadcast booth for a year to get his mind clear. He's not into it like he was with Pitt he stated on a radio show two days ago, and Minnesota has also contacted him and Williams of MarQ.Enfield would be wise to cash in his chips to go somewhere. Its still USC - or any power conference, non-elite's best chance to get an up and coming coach with successful tourney hc experience. The chances of USC getting a coach of the likes of Marshall are slim and none. Theres not alot of incentive to go to a USC from a strong mid major. CB this day and age, conferences have never meant less. How many Pac 12 teams have been in the Final Four since G. Mason, Butler, VCU, Wichita? So, if conference doesn't matter, why would someone like him leave being the king of a Wichita for being an after thought, about as popular as the LA Sparks head coach in LA? More money-immediately negated by COL, less job security, more apathetic support and no better chance to get to the Final Four.
Howland or Enfield are USC's most realistic best hopes. After that, it will be an assistant or a retread.
Buzz gets a decent buck from Marq, not sure he would want a lateral move like that.

It is going to be interesting.
Cal State Fullerton also still open from what I know.
No insult intended nor any comparison of Buzz to typo (Kevin), I'm just saying, coaches that have done well at MarQ and who've left is what I meant to state, Mr P. Last coach that stayed at the school and did well was Al and then his AC, Hank Raymond, I used to recommend players to both of them years ago, Kerry Trotter was one from Omaha Creighton Prep, I'm just stating, Buzz is not a locked in deal, yeah $2,000,000 isn't chump change, and perhaps he'll stay and I hope he does stay, he's won me some $$$$ at MarQ, LOL, but today there is no loyalty and this is not the 70's or 80's anymore. My wish would be for Buzz to stay but again, money does talk and loyalty went out years ago.Marq pays him over 2 mil per year, that's not chump change and is in the upper tier for college coaches. Minny could up that a little I imagine, SC probably more. He could leave for more money I just don't see that happening. He's dedicated to Marq due to the chance they took on him. His story is a great one of rising through the college ranks and he is really grateful to be where he is at. I don't see him leaving is what I'm saying.
Kevin O'Neill is a different bread and I'm pretty sure no coach should be given the insult of being compared to him.
You would think Tech would have learned with their retread Tuby(Tubby) hires.
Walker didn't have crap to work with this year but the team played hard. He has a 5* guard that will sign if they hire him.(Frazier) I know it's not smart to hire a coach based on one player but at this point it's a ton more than Tech has and he's showed he can get these kids to at least look at Tech which is more than any other coach has done.
