Special Teams, Special Teams, Special Teams
nobody talks about it and it's always brushed off as "luck" but this is the phase of the game where the bears absolutely dominate.....and have for 5-6 years.
can the bears destroy gb in special teams (and they did in game 1 in chicago) if so, i see them winning.
yes the bears have hester returning kicks, but that entire unit LOVES to block for him.....they'll throw manning back there on kick off returns as well and he's pretty damn good.
however......gould is pretty damn good kicking in the elements (kind of a mini vinitari) and maynard is a very effective net punting specialist (and corner kicker).
gb has struggled on special teams, but did have a good performance vs the bears in week 17 (alot of those punts were from around midfield where returns usually dont happen) and did manage a nice 40 yard punt return.
