We Have Your Cure For The Case Of The "Monday's" - Office Space Night - Monday, May 7th
? The Bowie Baysox, Class ?AA? Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles are offering all area cubicle dwellers a chance to get out of the office and relieve your ?Case of the Mondays?, when the Baysox take on the Reading Phillies on Monday (of course), May 7th at 7:05 pm.
Office Space Night is a tribute based on the 1999 smash hit movie Office Space, starring Jennifer Aniston and Ron Livingston. Office Space Night will feature promotions based on the movie as well as movie clips featured on the video board. There will also be a flair contest for fans, with the winner being picked based on who is wearing the most flair, another popular premise featured in the movie. Prizes for most flair will be awarded.
Mimicking another famous scene in the movie, there will also be a ?Smash Technology For Charity? event outside the stadium main gates prior to the game. For just $1.00, fans can take a swing, with a baseball bat, and smash up some of the office equipment that frustrates you in cubical land every day - including printers, scanners, and fax machines. Proceeds from the event will go to Families of Virginia Tech victims.
Akridge Real Estate Group were awarded the winning company in the recently completed Office Space Night Essay contest, in which area businesses were encouraged to write in and explain why their office has a case of the Mondays. The Akridge group will enjoy a game in a Luxury Suite at the stadium.
