The horrific NBC Olympic coverage will actually show the game live....wow what a concept actually showing a live event, gee what a great idea:142smilie

The brass at NBC should be shot for their horrific coverage, no wonder some Americans don't watch the Olympics, NBC coverage is downright pathetic.

But hey....at least they have decided to show the game live.

In Canada this is the biggest sporting event in over 30 years.....

THIS IS HUGE...JUST HUGE:scared

over :firing: what you think, I dont know shit about hockey:shrug: I grew up in Texas, football is king

Each of Canada's big games against Russia and USA went over. But you have two great goalies and either one could steal the game and shut down the other team.

The other thing is both teams could come out tentative and not making any big moves and that will kill the clock.

That being said, I think if the game is Under then Canada won't win. They need to come out quick like they did against Russia.

Kyle: The figure skating they put on NBC crushed the numbers of the last hockey game on MSNBC. Crushed it. The Olympics is about women viewers, not men. Get over it. It is business.

Ryan Miller versus Canada...........USA has no shot at all except for Miller.......this is all Miller, all Miller.

If you know anything about hockey, you know that the USA team is all Miller...all Miller. Canada completed dominated the USA in the last game, but Miller was the difference.

Miller is the best hockey player in the world.....BY FAR.

Miller is a god, an absolute god.

Kobe, Lebron have nothing on Miller, he is a far and away the most important US athlete to his team.

Miller is the only chance the USA has....the only chance.

Ryan Miller is the US team......it is as simple as that.

All about Miller.

But with all that being said......even Miller won't be enough.

No way in hell Canada loses to USA....it will not happen.

See ya USA...good job on the silver.

The GOLD is Canada's

Gmroz.....the figure skating makes sense.....the tape delay and 3 hours of coverage is pathetic. Ya realize in Canada you can watch EVERY EVENT LIVE on 9 channels. Yes read what I just typed.....EVERY SINGLE EVENT LIVE. EVERY ONE.

Yes....you have cable or satellite, you can watch every event live, every second.

NBC coverage is a fucking joke, go to any other country in the world and watch the summer/winter olympics and you'll see what a terrible job NBC does. It is putrid coverage.....putrid.

hedge......if one is in the USA and is stuck with NBC....I can see why.

How can ya get interested in an event when they show shit and show a sporting event on tape delay. It is fucking pathetic coverage.

It is a big deal when you see "live" in the upper right hand corner of an NBC tv screen:mj07:

Terrible coverage...putrid.

kick - I thought you said EVERY team was a dream team?

Just don't understand your contradictions.

What is strange is I am actually excited about this hockey game and a few of my friends are getting together to watch it.

I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone.

NBC can get away with their type of coverage because the vast majority of Americans don't give a damn about sports in snow. Putting more of it on TV would not change that all that much.

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
1st Period:

Erik Johnson 1 - Team USA/Canada 0

What a bonehead move by this guy. Has nothing to do with the puck so he tosses it almost in front on to Rafalski's stick who is checking men in front. :(

2nd Period:

Erik Johnson 1 - Team USA 1 - Canada 1

Hell of a game:00hour

Shots on goal: Canada 23 USA 21

Really impressed with these USA kids with as little big time experience they have. Staying right with Goliath!:box2:
