if you have a toaster or pizza oven...hard toasted roll(cut down the middle with most of the dough taken out and a slice of thin sharp cheddar melted inside)...with mayo.....

surprisingly enough,you can substitute garlic hummus for mayo and it`s very good...

btw...if you`re watching the weight,try buying a small tub of carrot/celery sticks and keep a jar of garlic hummus and/or a jar of "hidden valley chipotle pepper sandwich spread and dip" on hand for those times when you want something that doesn`t do much damage but has a little zing....

Wonderful tomatoed sandwhich

Had heirloom tomatoes yesterday....smothered by a perfectly(hot pink center) broiled, juicy 8 ounce Prime ground sirloin patty; topped with 3 sizzling slices of Nueske's applewood bacon.

They were wrapped in a fresh made, buttered and toasted bun, finished with melted white Wisc. cheddar, a slice of fresh lettuce and a dollop of house made ranch peppercorn dressing.

I LOVE tomato season....:00hour
