pretty good humor!

Did she really ban, "Are You There God, It's Me, Maragaret?" That's a great book, and if so, I don't understand it being banned. I bet as many 12 year old boys read that book as 12 year old girls :mj07: I know Kosar read it!

The last bit of her with the shotgun is hot, but weak as she doesn't even put the butt up to her shoulder. Sarah Palin at least knows how to shoot a gun, and that's quite sexy!

Censorship

Due to its frank treatment of sexuality and religion, this book is one of the top 100 most frequently challenged books at American libraries (i.e. books that have been requested to be banned), listed at number sixty-two on this list.[2]

In the 1970s Blume experienced very few attempts at banning or censoring her work. According to her, this changed practically overnight after the 1980 presidential election. She stated in an interview that one night a woman phoned her, asking if she had written Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. When Blume replied affirmatively, the woman called her a "Communist" and hung up. Blume joked that she never did figure out if the harasser equated communism with menstruation or religion, the two major concerns in twelve-year-old Margaret's life.

Being a very religious person, I disagree with the idea of banning books. There is so much garbage floating around about both candidates, I don' t know what is and isn't true anymore. Especially in these forums where there is no accountability. At least CNN or Fox have to remain credible, if even leaning one way or the other. John Kennedy really brought the concept of seperation of church and state to life, and I think it needs to remain. This however doesn't mean we should stike the word God from everything, that is what our country was founded on. Even Kennedy understood that.

I honestly though am attracted to Palin in the fact that she is not afraid to tell the country of her faith at a time when that might not win votes, or maybe it will.
