Even if is REMOTELY close I don't think any ump would have the balls to ever call him safe. It's only happened 20 times! Poor kid.

As a old pitcher I'm sick for that pitcher. That was not close. And as a former ump. I was taught on any close play that will reflec on the game. Take the extra second to make a call.

IF MLB does not step in and overturn that play to a perfect game the TIGERS should petition. He out was a complete step.

I think whoever hit the ball to first knew after the call that the guy got screwed...he just put his hands on top of his head in almost disbelief

On the bright side at least the call didn't impact me cashing the Tigers -1-. I needed that after also betting the over not expecting a perfect game to be thrown.
