what was everyone's initial reaction when they saw the line open up at (i believe) -15 and still 13.5 right now?

this game has me mind fu.cked.

the dog is almost the obligatory play in this crosstown shootout.

god knows i remember xavier beating even some great cincy teams. if memory serves correct, cincy was #1 in the nation with kmart and xavier knocked 'em off?

but this line is SO high that it almost seems to me like its asking for xavier money, especially with cincy coming off 2 losses in a row.

muskateers have had some roster turnover, but still have some talent.

cant really say that the new xavier coaching staff doesnt understand the rivalry either -- miller has been there a few yrs now.

almost tempted to make a token bet on cincy just because the line is (frankly) obscene, given how close this rivalry has been in recent years.

I think Cincy -13.5 (was 16 when I liked it)...no way I take XU with those injuries and with the public knowing how big of a rivalry this game is, this is one of those games where you have to have the balls to take the Fav and it will cash, at least I think so

my writeup from down the dial....

Taking a small shot with the dog in this crosstown game on the big screen. Xavier plays well late in the season historically against the better talented teams and has shown better form over their last five. The Huggy Bears coming off two monster games with a road game against De Paul on deck. Lost a home game to WF as a fav coming off the same two teams they just played earlier this season. Hoping the number here is too big for them to cover. The majority of Xav's games left are of the road variety so they might as well buck up here if they expect to see any post season action. If their recent success rebounding and playing D isn't a fluke, they'll keep this ESPN2 game interesting.

intense.
thanks. i think xavier has covered 6 of 7 or maybe even 7 of 8 in this series lately. i think even the casual basketball fan knows this is a very big rivalry, probably the biggest in ohio, and i just cant make sense of the steep chalk. best of luck.

bgfalc says under. volfan over. hmmm. i say the total pushes.
