I'm not saying they're not the best team but I don't think they've earned the top spot. Who have they beate to earn it? I'll get bashed for saying Boise but they've played a hard schedule than Ohio St. Oklahoma pounded Florida State who beat Miami and Miami is prety much OSUs best win. Oregon beat Stanford and IMO Standford is better than Miami.

Heck they maybe lucky but LSUs victory at Florida is as impressive as it gets.

Boise should be 1 for now, I know others will pass them but their season has been great so far.

based on play this year and NOT pre-season "guesses"

Oregon should be the clear choice as the #1 team thus far.....they win on the road, win vs other top 10-15 type teams AND destroy teams

after that......??

i think you could rank ohio state-boise-nebraska-oklahoma in about any order

after than i'd have utah ahead of tcu.....and auburn ahead of mich st

and i'd probably say bama might be able to beat any of them, but sorry....it's a 1 year poll and they lost.

well according to the usa today news paper, if the bcs bowls were to be ranked today, this is how they would be ranked..Boise State Broncos at No. 1, followed by Oregon, TCU and Oklahoma.

The Buckeyes have played a very weak schedule when you consider that Miami of FLA is a marginal program with Shannon. If your basing this on strength of schedule then LSU would be number 1 followed by Boise at 2. The Buckeyes have played the 117th strongest schedule out of 132 teams, so its tough to say they are a juggernaut this season.

Oregon in my opinion then after that in no particular order Nebraska, Ohio State, LSU, Auburn, TCU, Boise State and of course my Tide.

I'm just not sold on the Buckeyes. They basically have a two game schedule left (at Wisconsin and at Iowa). Another weak schedule for OSU. Yes they played Miami but I think the woodshed beating they took last weekend to Florida State makes that a moot point. I think they lose this weekend and at Iowa.

I don't know who is going to beat Nebraska in the Big 12. What a weak schedule they have. Their closest game this season was at home to South Dakota State! Only two ranked teams on the schedule (#20 Oklahoma State and #21 Missouri). Looks like they will be facing Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship.

I thought Oregon was going to go down a few weeks ago against Stanford. They still have Arizona (home) and travel to Oregon State for the Civil War. Unless they overlook someone they will finish undefeated and play for the title.

My Tide needs a lot of help. 'Bama needs LSU and Auburn to keep winning and there has to be a few upsets along the way to have any chance of cracking the top 2 BCS spots.

Right or wrong I think a one loss Alabama gets the nod over an undefeated TCU or Boise State based on strength of schedule/body of work.

I love listening to Tim Brando and he is for total chaos in the BCS. He wants as many undefeated teams as possible at the end of the season. I know it's early but there is the possibility of eight undefeated teams: Oregon, LSU/Auburn, Nebraska/Oklahoma, Ohio State, Michigan State, Utah, TCU and Boise State. LSU/Auburn meet in the regular season, Michigan State/Ohio State do not play one another and Nebraska/Oklahoma could meet in the Big 12 Championship.

What an absolute clusterfuck. Maybe if this scenario plays out we will finally see the long awaited playoff so many fans want in college football.

Based on my opinion of team's play so far this season....

1 = Oregon - the most impressive (by far to me) so far
2 = Nebraska - love their qb
then in no particular order...
Ohio St (unproven in my eyes, weeeeakass sched)
Oklahoma
TCU... Boise... (none of the big names will schedule them during reg. season, and their conference gms provide a challenge only once or twice /season.. alot like Ohio St.)
Auburn (at least they played clemson and w. va out of conf) and play in the toughest conference

Alabama can beat just about anybody on a neutral site, it was a tough stretch of schedule and they got whupped by S. Car...
so I am notttt looking for them to be in Bcs champship gm.... you lost... play in a different bowl this year.

I do not think Ohio St. belongs in #1 slot (yet)...
if all these tms go thru undefeated then I'll have my final opinion later this season :0074

Remember, absolutely NONE of this really matters yet, lots of games left...

I don't like the PAC 10, but I have to agree on Oregon deserving the #1 at this point.

Let us not forget...

Let us not forget...

that Ohio State beat Oregon like sissy girls in the Rosebowl about 10 months ago... :mj07:

I say it is flat out too early to give a fuck right now...
too much football yet to be played...

We'll see what the bull-shit excuses are after the Buckeyes run the table this year...

SOMEWHERE AROUND THE S.E.C.
ill take alabama auburn , LSU straight against Ohio st as of now. SPEED KILLS AS OHIO ST SHOULD KNOW BY NOW.

i beleive ohio st is as overated as their quarteback is. Both get to much attention. And both would be no better than average in the s.e.c.
just my opinion and not meant to hurt anyones feelings.
