Anyone have any thoughts on the total in this game? I think this game will come down to the wire, and picking a winner outright will be damn hard. However, i do feel like both teams should be able to move the ball on the opposing defenses. Defensively Ohio St. was incredible last year however they have about 8 new starters on defense and it will take time for them to gel. NIU ran all over Oh st and i've never seen NIU play much before, but i'm just thinking like most commoners, if NIU can rush for 170+ yds, what will Texas do to the OSU def? UT dominted NT this past weekend and they sure looked impressive, i dont see how they shouldnt be able to put up a lot of points in this contest.

Conversely, this could be the absolute breakout game for Troy Smith. He's got a world of talent and just like how last years game propelled V. Young to the Heismann trophy, this game may do the same for Troy Smith. I think OSU will have the two best players on the field saturday nite in Smith and Ginn, and while i am inching towards backing them, i just cannot trust their defense. Hence, i am leaning twds the over.

Any thoughts????

I'm going to wait until Thursday to see where the total is at. But if I see it starting to go up tomorrow, I make my play.

Right now, the over looks good. I can see both teams putting up 30 to 40 pts each in this game. Kind of like the UT-USC game last year.
