IMHO it will be the winner of next weeks nd/usc winner and if it's usc, they beat ucla in 2 weeks.

But how stupid is this, Ohio St will be idle for approx 50 days before they play for the NC, how stupid is that and not just because it's the Buckeyes, it is the dumbest ass idea to have teams lay off that long then expect them to play like the season just ended.

What a dumb ass system.

Thanks college hypocrite presidents. IDIOTS

The system is absolutely horrible. 7 weeks to prepare for a championship game. Absurd.

This is how I think it SHOULD go, considering the BS system we have.

I understand Michigan beat Notre Dame. If they were in the same conf. going for a conf. championship, then I'd give Michigan the head-to-head tiebreaker.

After saying that....I think if USC wins out, they play Ohio St. for the title. If USC loses, then winner of Ark/Fla play OhioSt for title. If both SEC teams end up with 1-loss, then ND plays for title (if they beat USC). And if Ark/ND/USC/Fla all end up with one loss, then Mich gets a rematch.

I've prob. said it before....

A "last" part of my rationale is that its not fair to OhioSt to have Mich play them again....

If Mich beats OhioSt in January....do we have co-champs? If that happens, we should. Both teams have same record in same conference and both teams played last 2 games against each other. Each team won once and lost once against each other.
Sounds like co-champs to me.
Why would Mich get nat'l title when OhioSt beat them? Why would OhioSt get title when Mich beat them?

Man, its utterly ridiculous. All I can hope for is NO RE-MATCH. Thats not a Notre Dame fan talking (but I am biased)....thats a college football fan talking.

I honestly think Ark/Fla winner is most worthy, but USC is ahead of them. I also know theres a chance that both Ark and Fla could end up with 2-losses.

Total frustration with this crappy system.

Why would ANYONE want to see a rematch of Ohio St. vs Michigan. Michigan was +3 in turnovers and OSU still had game in hand. Will Ohio St. have 2 unforced turnovers again vs Michigan? Geesh.

Michigan D is too slow. I wouldn't mind USC vs Michigan matchup in Rose Bowl. I can CA$H in on that bet like I did USC vs Michigan 3 years ago.

Funny how these ESPN analysts NEVER mention the 3 turnovers by Ohio St. 2/3 turnovers being unforced. Yet, MICHIGAN was down double digits late in the 4th quarter being +3 turnovers.

DO NOT reward a LOSER a trip to the BCS NC.

USC vs Ohio St. would be perfect matchup. USC has the speed and talent to compete. OSU exploited the slow Michigan D. OSU will not be able to do that with ease against USC. OSU also had 2 huge TD runs against UM. Would be SHOCKED if that happened against USC. You must be methodical and drive down the field to score on USC consistently.

Who knows if USC can beat ND and then follow that up @UCLA. Back to back wins against rivals is tough. :scared But if USC wins out, no question they are in.

USC has 5 wins against top 25 BCS ranked teams. Does Michigan?

Three (3) reasons Michigan won't get another shot:

1. Vanderbilt (4-8);
2. C. Michigan (7-4);
3. Ball State (4-7).

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

ONE MORE REASON!

USC will have faced 7 Bowl teams, Michigan 4. :142smilie

USC O is not as good, but the USC D is more talented and faster. USC is getting better and better every week.

If USC makes the BCS NC game, USC will compete.

NO CONTEST< USC will have the best 1 loss team resume in the country! USC deserves to go if they win out. USC has the best chance at beating OSU. OSU will not have huge speed advantage like they did today against Michigan.

NO, I rather USC go to BCS NC game and compete. USC def. can beat OSU. It won't be easy. If OSU plays USC the way they played Michigan today, USC prob. wins by double digits.

Michigan D made OSU look better than they are. Michigan is slow. USC is fast and Carroll is much better coach than Carr and USC is a great bowl team under Carroll.

If I am OSU, I be begging for a rematch against Michigan. Guaranteed victory (unless OSU turns it over 3 times again)

USC vs OSU would be exciting matchup. Maybe the first time USC is true underdog. BE FUN FOR A USC FAN to root for USC as an underdog!

Is it true Michigan has only beaten 3 BCS teams with winning records, while USC has already beaten 7and USC still has ND and UCLA on deck? :scared

If USC wins out, they will have beaten 3 times as many BCS schools with winning records as Michigan.

Mich. made adjustments at halftime and by 4th qtr, Tressel adjusted to that.

The "helmet to helmet" contact on 3rd and 15 ruined a really good game. Mich would have gotten the ball back down by 4.

Looked like a Pac 10 game. No defense. ;)

7 weeks / 50 days to recover, heal, focus and prepare. That is an asset in many ways and JT will utilize it to his and the teams advantage. GO FIGURE & if you haven't figured this guy out yet you have NOT been doing a good job of handicapping. From the announcement in THE Shott his first month on the job to the trip to Tempe and the ultimate tip of the iceberg that started the decline of Miama program, this coach
?MAY ? be the next Joe Pa. No disrespect intended Joe Pa & PSU fans and alum. JT knows the secret to winning and he gets it done."THE" team & Him and his staff. Yeah it is almost a religion here in Columbus.

Scott, one would think you would NOT want to play another team this year with the initials

"OSU"

.............................................................

This is why I hate USC more and more.

Scott knows that there is a more than good chance for USC to win these last two games.

But he phrases it like ND and UCLA are the Miami NFL team that won so many in a row.

Go Notre Dame

Thinking about playing a moneyline play on USC again. It worked last time with the Beavers.
I got mad I lost, then I got happy USC lost.

Damn gotta love a beaver.

I wonder if Michigan would have lost to the beavers ?

I feel like Michigan should hire Don King.

"Lets do it again.....lets play this great game again.....PAY PER VIEW........$49.95"

"I'm gonna call it...Don't Fail in Glendale....$49.95!"
