Illinois on the moneyline might be the play this week. Illini are looking sharper every week and OSU seems to be feeling the pressure; I'm not sold on how they've played on the road this season.

Tom Ward recruited by Ohio St....started right awau at Toledo

...And who the hell are these guys?? I don't here their names in the NFL or even making the lime light in College foots.
You are backing up my point - Clarence Love, for instance, was a BACKUP on OSU and went crying to another team that would play him.
And these other guys...a letter of interest does not count as recruiting in the sense of Toldeo stealing recruits. Not to mention, of course taylor wouldn't go to Michigan St. as a strong safety (which isn't his #1 position) when he could play for another school and get to start at the position he wanted to play. Hell he probably was told he wasn't going to play much there so he left.

I can't help but make note of an article on cbs.sportsline reporting that OSU will be #1 in the BCS on Tuesday. If they suck so bad why are they continually getting ranked higher than Miami. I know TCSN will state the usual about how the BCS is crap and its worthless and wrong and whatever else. But fact is, its the system the NCAA uses so deal with it.
You guys keep saying that all buckeye fans are closed minded and only look at things from our point of view. Thats a farse. Some are very intouch with what is going on here - and you all shouldn't be so hypocritical, because if the buckeye's do lose, you will all start sliding your texas' and oklahoma's and who ever else has one loss in their spot and then you will have to face the ridicule of this forum. It looks to me like you are all in such awe of the "giants" of the NCAA football world that you cant bear to watch a team other than Miami, or Oklahoma, or FSU, or Nebraska, or Tennessee win the big one.
The Big ten has three teams in the top 10. That is more than impressive and speaks for itself, so maybe some of you should stop and think about your harsh criticism of the conference and start respecting other teams then the traditional "big boys"

Ohio State

Ohio State is playing not to lose right now. They will lose one of their last two games so we won't have to worry about them being in the championship game. Early in the year when they beat Texas Tech and Washington State they threw the ball a little more. You can be conservative against teams that can't score like Minnesota and Purdue but against the real good teams you can't. Early in the year I could have seen the Buckeyes playing against Miami but this team has gotten progressively worse as the year has gone on. When is the last time their offense has had a drive longer than 60 yards. The only thing the Buckeyes have done lately is help my pocketbook. Take the 9points this week and Michigan the following week. Just wait when the smoke clears with all the remaining games that Washington State will sneak into the championship game.

There is no disputing that I hate Ohio State, its a undisciplined program that has had more criminal acts than any school in the country in the past ten years. I don't want to hear how Tressel has cleaned the program up, come on now he has had just as many criminal act's under his watch per season as Cooper if not more. There is no chance that OSU loses to Illinois, the game will not even be close, but I do feel that Mich will knock OSU off. I don't think OSU and Miami would be a very good game, OSU offense would be lucky to ring up 10 points and Miami's speed would kill a big ten team.

This week is a bad spot for Ohio State. Sandwiched between a last minute win and Michigan; they've already proven they aren't nearly as good on the road as at home. To say that there's no chance they will lose is short-sighted. Illinois has some positive momentum and I expect them to give OSU a very good game.

I agree a good spot for Illinois, but I wouldn't play it. As for Toledo in the Big 10. Hey I think it would be great, every conference should have it's Baylor. GL Bone

moeclarrett - Wesean Tait was getting compared to Barry Sanders...he ran for over 4000 yards in 2 seasons. In 96 he we played against Indiana and on the first series he tore his knee and was out of football for 2 years. 2 time All-American

Clarence Love has a super bowl ring with the Ravens. And is now with the Raiders...

Jason Lamar got HM All-American and was up for Butckus award back at Toledo. He`s now at Houston as linebacker...

Tom Ward, well you`ll find out about him sooner or later...

Boneinthehouse - So I guess last year Minnesota would be Baylor cuz we beat them...or the year before Penn St would be Baylor cuz we beat them...in fact owned thme (24-6) at College Park, In 97 Purdue would be Baylor because I sure do remember beating Drew Brees and company....

You guys REALLY need to do your homework before you run your mouths.....We both know your conference is weak compared to Pac-10..Big12...hell all the bigger conf. You choke in bowl games...so go ahead, go to the BCS....I`ll be listening to buckeye round table tonight....cant wait till I hear them say "Craig Krenzel is an amazing QB"

WOX.....congrats on a great buckeye season.Dont be too excited to get some of Miami.I saw them live Sat night......and they are the real deal. Can they be beat?SURE...but there gonna have to beat theirself.WAAAAAY too much talent and good coaching for anybody else to handle this year.Hell...I think they had 6 guys drafted in the 1st round last year after going undefeated and winning a N.C. and this years team looks just as good. hope you guys get to play them....The only weakness they might have is the run defense and thats Ohio St strength.!!!!

01 Minn 7 Toledo 38

00 Penn St 6 Toledo 24

97 Purdue 22 Toledo 36

and yes I know we are a mid-major...

Would Toledo compete in the Big 10..Yes....would the first few years be rough...Yes...Took Ohio St 4 years before they won there first Big 10 title....Took Penn St 4 years...

being in a bigger conf. helps bring in recruits....
