I think Michigan is a great team. But I also think its too bad they opted to play Central Michigan, Vanderbilt and Ball St., while SC faced Arkansas, Nebraska and ND.

Yes Michigan did face ND, as well.

I agree with everyone that sums things up with 'WE NEED A PLAYOFF.'

Those folks who vote in the polls will have the chance to arrange a rematch or opt to see USC, Fla or ??? by where they seed the teams in this weeks poll.

If they keep Michigan at 2 or 3........its going to be tough for SC or Fla to climb over Michigan.

If they drop Michigan to 4 or 5.......(and I'm not saying they should) it will be a vote for no rematch.

God help us if Michigan wins the rematch.......what happens then? Is Michigan #1, in essence voiding OSU's win. Do they split the championship? Or if Michigan beats OSU and USC stomps Fla or whoever they play........is it a split title?

I remember when all of talking heads were opining....."If USCruns the table.....beating Ore, Cal, ND and UCLA.....they deserve to be #2, and face Michigan or Ohio St in the championship".....only now, SC is half way there and they are starting to hedge.

WHAT A MESS..........

SC has finished 1 or 2 in each of the last 4 bcs final rankings...........no other school even made the top 10 in all 4 years. SC lost 8 guys to the nfl.....and no one gave them a shot this year. My gut feeling is SC wins out.........and they'll get screwed.

Time will tell

I agree Michigan shouldn't get into title game. Just not the reasoning. You can't fault them or any program in the (acc, big ten,big twelve,sec,) to schedule teams for revenue. They know the perception is if they win their conference they are in the title game. It is the system we have just like in other sports {Nfl if a team wins its division with an 8-8 record they go in before a team with a 9-7 record or 10-6 that didn't win their division}

We don't penalize the yankees if they don't have 10 more wins than the red sox.

I just don't think you can have two teams from the same conference in a title game; even if you feel they are the two best teams. yanks-redsox lakers-spurs sfran-dallas If the Big ten doesn't want to have a championship game so be it. I would feel the same way if Wiscy beat Michigan and were undefeated.

Just go back one year when the Pac-10 didn't play everyone in their conference and let's say cal and usc both go undefeated their is no way in hell they would play in a title game the other conferences would have said NO; so why should would allow a conference that has 3 quality teams in it this year send 2 of them to the title game.

I feel if you don't win your conference you don't get the chance to win a national cahmpionship.
