over 133-: i'm looking for defense to slack off a bit this afternoon with both teams playing their third in three days and both headed into exam break. bobcats are actually playing their fourth road game in five days, and, while they have worked some seldom used players in the lineup this weekend, are basicly a seven man rotation team. defense was optional in ohio's game yesterday, as the bobcats set a team record by shooting 72.7% from they floor but also allowied outclassed bellarmine to shoot over 50% from the floor. defense and boxing out are usually the first things to suffer at the end of a tournament. even if shooting percentages suffer a bit, you can usually look for plenty of followups on the offensive boards. both these teams shoot well, have little to play for today, and are headed back to breaks. down side is little chance for a foulfest at the endgame, but don't believe it will be needed.

no games worth a play on tonight's short slate, so i'll take a few minutes to respond to all friends and wellwishers and say thanks and i appreciate the support and kudos, and also appreciate the decorum with which they are presented.

as many here know, i've been around madjacks just about since the inception of this site, and count jack, ie, and many others here as personal friends. i've had the opportunity to learn over the years from all of these friends, and posting here is my way of thanking all of those friends who have added to my knowledge (and my bankroll) over that time. ncaa hoops is the subject matter with which i feel most comfortable, and where i feel i have the most to offer, so the great majority of my postings come in this particular forum.

rather than posting my cumulative record, i try and write up a comprehensive synopsis of my methodology used on each play, emulating the parable, "give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." if i posted my record with a lot of hoopla and fanfare, then i fear my threads would turn into the drama-filled train wrecks that plague many of the popular posters. if anyone is that concerned with my posting record, the forum search feature is available for all. it is much more satisfying to me to present my rationale and methods for consideration - if it makes sense to you, you may want to give it a try, if not then pass. the handicapping is the game itself, the win is merely the reward for playing the game well. trust that i don't feel underrated or underappreciated if there's not a hundred replies or a thousand views on my threads. my book passes me all the appreciation i need every tuesday.

if you want to thank me, then offer something back to this forum. if you're not to the point yet where you're comfortable with that, then at least keep the forum a pleasant place to hang out and share thoughts with you friends.

Hey Loophole

This is my first post here at madjack and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate what you wrote in the previous post. Hopefully I will be able to contribute in the coming months. Thanks again.
