We have some old family photo albums just sittting in my Parents closet collecting dust. I would like to take the pictures and somehow preserve them to a CD or DVD or something, maybe even add in some cheesy music or something but mainly preserve them. Should I take them somewhere and have it done or can I somehow do this myself? If I take it somewhere whats a fair price if anyone has had this done?

Thanks!

Agent.... i'm sure there are better ways of doing it, although i did MANY MANY MANY photo's the cheap way.....LOL

you'd be surprised how nicely a pic turns out by using a digital camera to take a pic of the pic ;)

another option is to scan them as a group, and crop them apart to save individually.

or scan individually for that matter (but it usually takes longer.

you need a scanner for one, and then you may need some software to do some editing of the photo's (Clean Up)

To put them to music, your wanting to do some type of powerpoint. I am sure you could do it, but it would take time to do

Price would depend on how many photos, and nope I am not interested

ummmm.....thought that was English... guess it was a bit hick for ya ;)

1. do you have a digital camera?
2. if so, take a picture of the picture you want to get on DVD
3. upload the pic from the digital camera to your computer.
4. burn it.

For clarification I want it on a DVD to watch like a movie type deal.

when you open a DVD with pics on it, i think it probably gives you the choice of viewing it as a slideshow... (not sure if anything i said would work on a normal DVD player hooked up to a television tho.)

There are LOTS of albums. :com: I doubt Kinkos is the place to make all these pictures into a movie are they?
