I really didn?t want this to become a big deal, and didn?t think this would cause such a commotion
. I just wanted to leave as quietly as I came here 4+ yrs ago. I didn?t want to put up an announcement about me leaving, because MJs is bigger than all of us, and will continue to grow, I?m sure, and those who know me know that I?m not the attention-seeking type. But I guess I owe some of my buds in the Bases and Pucks forum a bit of an explanation.
First off, please stop putting blames on Horns. I just want to touch on this a little bit, then I?m done. If I didn?t want to leave, there?s nothing Horns could have done. I?m leaving on my own free will, so let?s leave Horns out of this. The ?public trial? of Horns DID leave a rather sour taste in my mouth, and many others. To clarify things, ?seeker? DID cause trouble in the hockey forum last playoffs, as well as ?MK guys? or whatever, publicly calling out Horns, and it took a lot of us intervening before they were gone. Edludes going into Horny?s thread and rubbing in a loss was ?low?. There is a ?sticky? on top of every page about ?you bash, you?re gone?, but I see bashing every day, and it got very annoying to ME. We all know Horny?s a hot head, and gets carried away at times, but come on, the guy?s in his 20?s, cut him some slack. Plus I know he would not sling chit unless someone started at him first. If he wanted to leave, let him go, after all he?s done here at MJs, the ?public trial? right after he left was uncalled for. And as far as I know, he IS banned so he couldn?t even defend himself. The ?cut and paste? job was a ?way off? portrayal of Horns, IMHO. If I?m wrong in those things, I apologize to Jack. I?m sure Jack gets hate-mails all the time, why make Horny an example out of all the ones he?s gotten. But it?s HIS forum, he can do anything he wants, I don?t have to agree with what he does, but I can respect that, as he has to protect his own interest. Like I said, MJs is bigger than any of us, and will continue to grow whether cappers stay or leave.

. I?m definitely not derserving of all the praises and attention for leaving. I do owe a lot to MJs, as I saw myself go from being a ?gambler? when I first joined, to a ?handicapper? now, learning all different aspects of capping sports, recognizing my weaknesses and maximizing my strengths from all the old-timers in here, and developing a Money Management System. Unfortunately, most of them are gone, ?pay? or otherwise, and couldn?t pass on some of the ?wisdoms? to the newbies in here. The bases forum toward the end of the season was in sad shape, with cappers going ?pay?, a few others leaving for other reasons, and then the pretenders/chest-pumpers jumping in and diluted the quality of the forum to an all-time low, IMHO, at least in the 4+yrs that I?ve been here. I went to the hoops forum a month ago, and I saw gsp getting bashed. WTF is that?? This is the one guy in here left whose post I check daily, never starts any chit, and he?s getting bashed?? Then it spilled over to the pucks forum. Just like Gamecock said, if you ever visited the SinBin last yr, it was a hockey fan/capper?s ?paradise?. There was absolutely no bashing what-so-ever, and everyone was wishing everyone else GL whether they?re on the same sides or not. There were some ribbing here and there, but all in good fun because we were a tightly-knit family. And we all made some serious cash throughout the year, I mean all of us, and A LOT OF IT. This yr, the regulars slowly stopped posting, the pretenders/chest-thumpers came in. If you look at the forum now, 70-80% of last yr?s regulars are gone, namely, AcesHigh, Trademaster, Horny, cooz, Cyra, Celyas, Spock, rc conditioner, homerh, iconmaster (got bashed in bases and left), jake?..and more and more, and it is no longer ?Fun? for me to post. I?ll just leave the forum to whoever?s left, with apologies to sam, kickserv, sushi, rakman, vince, TV, Anth, and the other regulars who?re still there. They are all kick-ass cappers and the SinBin will still be just fine.
Then there are the hate-mails that I started getting toward the end of the baseball season when I hit a skid, then continued into the hockey season when I hit another skid. How someone can bash anyone who provides picks for free is beyond me. I try not to let them bother me, but after a while it does take a toll. So if I don?t post, I don?t get bashed, it?s as simple as that. Everyone knows I feel terribly when I lose, as my 1 unit is bigger than the usual $100, but I feel even worse because I know I?m taking others down with me. I just didn?t need the added stress by the hate-mailers.
There are some other factors, as well, such as family time, work?etc, which I?d rather not elaborate. But like I said, it just wasn?t ?Fun? for me to post any more, so I?m gonna take some time off and play my picks on my own. I?m not even posting anywhere else right now.
Lastly, I want to thank Jack for providing such a great site for all of us to exchange information and ideas in regards to sports wagering and other things. I have met and made a lot of great friends thru MJs who I would never have had the pleasure of making the acquaintance of, like Dr SL, TV, spock, Chenker, Horny, mugsy, Wizzy, TJBell, CGuy, Boilermaker, gsp, cooz,??the list goes on and on, and of course, every single regulars in the SinBin from last yr.
Sorry for this long thesis, I tend to be long-winded at times. Thanks for all the wonderful emails I?ve gotten. I?ll miss all my buds in here, but we?ll all keep in touch via email, I?m sure.
