What's the wager? (Avatar, signature, etc.) I know some of you guys like Nosigar will want to put up a friendly bet for the game.

Also, if any of you LSU fans are coming out for the game, let me know. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to attend the game, but at the very least we can have a little MadJack's night out in Old Town Pasadena.

As far as today's game goes, you have to give UCLA credit for winning. I can say that USC's the better team until I'm blue in the face, but often times the difference between the great teams and the transcendent teams is being able to pull out tough intraconference games on the road. USC failed twice at that this season and therefore we don't deserve a shot at Ohio State.

I would love to see USC blow out another SEC team. I also rather play Michigan though. Much more tradition.

Really? Who are they talking about? Are they saying that the mediocre Gators could leap over Michigan? Wow, that'd be like when Notre Dame got to play West Virginia instead of Miami for the Championship back in 1988.

It's gotta be a visor or t-shirt for me. I'm paranoid about going bald and my high school biology teacher, Mr. Schuman, told me that wearing hats increases the chances of baldness. I figure he has a full head of hair, so he should know ;).

I also try to avoid hot showers. I was watching a show on something like National Geographic and a chicken farmer from outside Lagos said that hot showers will make you go bald because to de-feather a chicken, you dunk it in hot water.

p.s. I originally wrote "N1ger1an chicken farmer" instead of "chicken farmer from outside Lagos", but it was edited out. Has Montreal's favorite son, beantownjim, really affected the rules on this board that much?

I'm going to make a bold prediction here.

Since the coaches poll and Edwards' computer projection both side with Florida, it appears that the Gators are going to get a shot at OSU. I'll stay away from commenting on that because I don't want to have this thread stray into an argument about Florida.

My bold prediction is that the Rose Bowl will choose LSU over Michigan as USC's opponent. I know there is strong backing for keeping a Big-10 vs. Pac-10 matchup, but LSU makes more sense for business. Both USC and Michigan are poor travelling schools compared to LSU where there is no National Championship on the line. If LSU comes out, the game will be a guaranteed sellout with fifty or sixty thousand Tigers' fans coming out. If Michigan comes out, they'll probably bring about half that number to the game.

Personally, I'd much rather see LSU vs. USC because of the history from the 2003 BCS rankings. I think Michigan is the better team than LSU, but if I go to the game, the atmosphere for an LSU game would be super.

I may be 100% wrong here. That's why I say it's a bold prediction.

To your point, though, LSU is an at-large team. They are not bound to the Sugar Bowl in any way, shape or form.
