I'll have to leave this one alone after this,I have to be honest here,I'm a giver all the time my heart bleeds for people in need I have been blessed with a nice life. The husbands always telling me I give to much I disagree of course and continue but I do believe the older I get the more compation I have and YES I'll admit I'm a bit of a sucker for a sad cituation. Now that thats been told I also must admit that Our life insur. policy that we choose is 20 years and was honestly a little uncomfortable signing that contract.IT WAS WIERD but the thing I like most is that we are paying $80.00 per month at the end of that term we recieve %60 back so I was more comfortable looking at it like, after we both out live the policy we have another little stash if you know what I mean I'm still learning and try to absorb when I can the insurance stuff it gets a little confusing to me.........I hope I don't sound stupid but there are so manyways and plans to choose from:shrug: This has been an interesting thread for me,maybe RAYS right I do give to much..............

yyz-sorry if I offened you with the pillow post:thefinger

Bonez I don't think you should be sorry for what you believe in. Maybe if the world had more people like you, who give alot and care about people, the world wouldn't be so evil.

I bought life insurance as soon as my son was born. Just to be safe. I want to make sure he is always okay I don't know what I bought my friend sells insurance so I trust him.

Tara, YOU ROCK!

Okay, T...........so where do we draw the line? When do we say, "We'll pay for this, but not for that."?

People need to be accountable at some point. Is it fair to these kids? Certainly not! But it is the parent's fault, not societies! Instead of saying we should be more compassionate, why don't you ask your friend what the hell she and her husband were thinking? Is it more irresponsible for me to not want to take care of her and her kids, or her for failing to provide for them?

Is it some ghetto kids fault that they were not born in the suburbs, and he doesn't have the 'lifestyle' that upper middle class kids have? No, but we aren't wringing our hands over him, are we?

Like I said, I think you would have a lesser stand on this matter if it was not a personal friend of yours.

.....BTW, it wasn't the pillow post, it was the one before that about those poor kids having to step down into the degradation of the local public school.

(Although after reading your posts, maybe the public school sysem over there IS as shitty as you say!);)

YYZ- We don't agree:D do you think the government is really going to replace these peoples lives to the way they were?NO you know it I know it. I tried to wrap up this thread because it was giving me adgida.Theres really nothing either of us can do to stop whatever does happen, but I will certainly continue to be me and do my thing on my own I guess. and your right I saw first hand from my friend who you have to realize if some one is my friend I usually have there back no matter what.
I must also clarify the school thing once and for all, I'm sure there are good public schools here in Philly especially grade school in the last 5 years or so our schools turned open inrolement which means I pay higher taxes for the area of the city I live in as well as my propertie value, than Joe blow who is on crack and lives in the inner city in an abandaminiom We now have the CHOICE to send our kids to ANY public school throughout the city meaning Joe blow can send his inner ciity kids to my neighborhood Philly buses them at there cost and I still pay the taxes and CHOOSE to pay private school tuition so did my friend Believe me when I tell you yyz there is a dramatic difference in the 2 my point was more towards the truama that the kids already lived and it very difficult on them to have to go to a new school I really wasn't trying to stress PUBLIC vs.PRIVATE at all so if I've offended anyone else I truelly am sorry and apologize:) I'm just curious do you have any children???? I'm almost sure that ace does not because I think that the understanding of children comes after raising some of your own and I wouldn't expect you then to understand hope I've clarified things a little for you..............

oh onetrickpony alls you have to do is ask I'm not the master typer and it drives me crazy to have to hit cap lock all the time to capitolize LOL HOPE YOU HAD EASIER READING.....................
