MAN, if ever in a quandry for the title, this is the year ... i thought Uconn going in but i just cant back them with much gusto now ... maybe the ucla/memphis winner, but wow, lotsa variables on both of them ... Gators are doing well, but thats hard for me to think they are the best ... TX the espn talking heads have advanced to the final four ... and can NOVA win with 4 guards? ... and finally can GM get uconn in their neck of woods ...

I think id almost have to go with Memphis, b/c Uconn just drives me up the wall

my final four of ucla-tx-uconn-nova is still alive with uconn beating texas........but i've got serious doubts about ucla beating memphis, nova beating fla and uconn winning three more games

at this point i'd say uconn is definitely has the most talent (as they have all year) but plays the most inconsistant of the bunch

but

after george mason i can easily see any of the other 7 teams winning the title with lsu-fla probably being the next least likey after mason

in the end...still wide open as it was when the tourney started

It was nice to read some of your post yesterday regarding Calhoun. We get to watch this shit over here in Big East country on a weekly basis. He has no control over these guys and IMO, they lack fundamentals in a big way. All it seems Calhoun does is yell and scream to make it look like he is coaching. I was thoroughly impressed with Washington yesterday and did they ever play hard. Sticky subject about what to do up 3 late in the game. Having played college hoops and fan of the game, I would have fouled each and every time. That Roy kid is very nice, reminded me a little of Ron Artest, on the hoop floor that is.

To answer you question, whoever wins between Memphis and UCLA. Although, we know how this shit works, close game for UCONN usually means they will end up winning it even though they should be gone. Tough to back the Huskies with Ronald McDonald on the sideline.

Still look'n into it a little, but so far and I feel I'm gonna be alone on this but FLORIDA BEATS NOVA ON SUNDAY!!! Call me crazy, but I see many factors in FLA's favor. The "young guns" of FLA are tough!! I, personally, have not been impressed with Nova one bit in this whole tourney. Vegas opened up Nova at only -1.5. Mmmmm...makes you wonder. Nova seems too easy.....

Yeah. I think UConn gets it done in one of the most uninspired tourney runs ever.

I think they play a lot better against GMason and easily win next 2 games to win title.

Gotta go with UConn...
finally someone with some sense. I can understand Memphis pt1guard as i have them in my final and maybe nova. But to think texas or florida could hang with uconn?!?! They have very similar makeups except uconn outclasses and out expereinces both of them!
Flor plays just as inconsistent as uconn does.
Uconn gets a free pass with gmason into the final four and will hopefully play florida because they match up much better with them then they do with nova.

Just because uconn, the most talented team BY A MILE (dont give me any of this probably the most talented.... there is no question, they have stars 6-7 deep, that would be stars on any of the remaining schools starting line) hasnt been playing as hard as other teams doesnt mean they still arent favored and definitely shouldnt be counted out like so many have on this board

put it this way.....if uconn played with as much passion and fire and energy as nova does (the most consistant team i've seen all year) nobody comes close to uconn

however, they sleepwalk thru 20-30 minutes of every game, thus they are a shaky chalk bet to win it all

lsu will beat ucla 11-9 on a tyrus thomas block/ outlet pass up the court for a lay up count the points with the foul. Obviously LSU will miss the free throw. However they will go on to play in the final game.
