Reading up on these 2 teams and I just can't figure out why OM isn't favored here? OM is the most experienced team in the SEC coming into the year returning 19 starters (9O/10D). Vandy's strength will be their WR's but will have a new QB. Chemistry issue? Vandy returns 3 starters on the OL and should be ok at RB. But OM has essentially everyone coming back with the additions of their big recruiting class. Looking at the match ups in the trenches and both favor OM IMO. Wallace is nursing a shoulder injury but should be good to go. I know Vandy always gives OM fits, but I just can't see OM losing this game. OM blew it last year against Vandy allowing a TD with under a minute to go. Motivation should favor OM here. OM is a more experienced and deeper team.

Thoughts?

Going through a few of my CFB preview mags......like you said.....no doubt Ole Miss is the deeper team. Homefield and coaching edge for Vandy has something to do with the line here.....still you mention great points........revenge factor is key in this one too. Personally I lean Ole Miss.:0074

IMO this is a bigger game for OM. A big conference win on the road could mean 8-10 wins for the Rebels. Vandy still has 7 winnable games on their schedule. All the hype is on OM... How do they handle it?

Home field advantage... Ehh no matter how good Vandy is, other teams seem to have big crowds there... It's a slight one...

Golden Nugget opened Ole Miss at -4 and it was bet down to -2. I don't get it either.

Vandy just lost four players for sexual assault regulations ... funny (not the assault but Vandy having suspensions) how that happens when you recruit the players needed to turn the program around like Franklin has done

and 39,000 "fans" is not a big home field advantage especially when the other team draws plenty ... its a 2nd home field for fans when Bama plays :mj07:

not at Vandy ... but that was when they won a couple games a year ... now get the players in to win 9-10 games and look what happens ...

bad thing at Vandy was a player getting drunk and falling off a balcony ... or Gordon Gee leading pep rallys ;)

names GOT to come out soon with charges pending

Those players won't have too much of an impact on the games stats wise... but could effect Vandy from a depth perspective...
