It was a riot. A protest does not have burning buildings, vandalism and looting.
It was all avoidable if the idiot governor had not stymied the police?s efforts to maintain order.

If a guy with a pistol shoots a guy who is shooting people that are attacking him, then that is not self-defense.

Whatshisnuts, carrying a weapon is a constitutionally protected activity, it?s not against the law, and it doesn?t in itself incite violence. People are responsible for their own actions. If they had concerns with his legal AR-15, they should have told one of the multitude of LEOs in the area. While I think it?s silly for Kyle Rittenhouse to have carried a gun there, he can do what he wants. He wasn?t the vigilante; he shot the vigilantes. That?s what happens when you attack a man who is openly carrying a VISIBLE loaded gun. Maybe they should be candidates for a posthumous Darwin Award?

Let?s talk about the Constitution...
In public, people can say whatever they want (including vulgarities) no matter if others disagree or feel offended. They can pray to God or allah or buddha. They can hold signs that are inflammatory. They can record whatever they wish. There is no expectation of privacy in public. We are recorded everywhere we go all day every day. Our eyes can NOT trespass.
We can also carry guns provided we follow whatever state laws are in place as those vary.
We have the right to our privacy and against unlawful searches and seizures which include our identity and possessions. Nobody has the right to know who I am unless I have committed a crime or am suspected of such. We don?t have to help police in their investigations nor do we have to answer any questions.
The Constitution does not just apply when it is convenient for a person?s point of view or beliefs. ?Liberals? get up in arms over guns. ?Conservatives? get up in arms over free speech, sexual orientation, and any religion that isn?t Christianity. All of the Constitution applies to all Americans. If people have a problem with it, they should go somewhere else.

like omg if i even had a gun out at any gathering without shooting the police would cuff me down on the ground and put me in jail then of course because i have a license to carry i get out next day and call my lawyer for false imrisonment or whatever :142smilie
