THe kid from Illinois is to young and many will say the wrong color. Witch is sad. But he would make a good candidate compared to all these old buggers from both sides. And before he's in Wash to long and gets to connected.

Dj Karl rove could make Mother teresa out to be a villian. The democrats for some reason have no one that is capable of doing this type of thing. DJ you know what is funny? About a week after Gbush stole another election Fox news had a group in a circle and they were talking about who they feared the most in 2008. They all said Hillary. When i heard this i said to my dad these pricks just picked out who they want the democrats to run in 2008. Guess what they did. She has no shot at all because the South will never vote for her but they will vote for that Fraud Julianne who doesn't stand for half of the shit they stand for.

You will not get any arguments from me whatsoever about what a miserable mistake Iraq was/is.

No, the wrong post reply thing did not bother me at all. But generally speaking, I basically feel you are a jackass. ....Not that there's anything wrong with that.

and we wd not be in the situation we are now in.
In my opinion this Iraq thing has changed the course of history and George in all his stupidity is responsible for us being under threat as never before.
I agree a lot with what u said Kosar Dems dont have
Clinton like candidates these days but tell me if u had known what Mr. Bush was going to do to this country would u still have voted for him over Kerry......be honest...........
Every clear thinking person from Bush Sr, Colin Powell, Gen Shinseki and other generals, Scowcroft, Baker etc all said this wd be the likely outcome and they knew it back in 1991...but Bush, Cheney..and yes the Israeli lobby pushed for it and with a nit wit like George they got it.......................And dont tell me Wolfowitz Pearle and Kissinger are Irishmen.

Hammer we would be better off with a stuff pinata . As for your jewish comments don't under estimate some of the jewish people because in Isreal they say the same stuff we say its thier greedy gov't that is just like ours who like to occupy land that doesn't belong to them. You just won't hear this on any of our news stations since they are all owned by Jews. They took a poll of the Jewish people and they overwellmingly wanted to sit down with Hamas but the Gov't didnt. That is another thing Clarke said last night. He said what the hell is wrong with talking with some of these guys? Its so embarassing to tell people (around the world) that we are american. These collection of thieves caused this but people are to naive to believe it. Oh and by the way isn't sneaky Wolfowitz somehow in charge of the world bank? How they pulled this off is jsut amazing. On another note watch how this new Supreme court goes after every workers right in this country. Rove sais it before 2004. He said if we can win we can set a president for the next twenty years. What he meant was to break the American worker so it can be rich and poor all over again.

First off Kosar i thought he could be being sarcastic but i figured he wouldn't be the only one to read this thread. Second here you go again trying to explain to me how much another poster knows than me. Third could u kindly tell me why we are in IraQ? I would love to hear what you have to say since the number one guy on terror agrees with me. Please tell me genuis why are we there?. They never did a thing to us. They had nothing to do with 9-11. Saddam was contain like a little school girl and had no weapons of mass destruction. Help me here okay or get a group of your buddies that all know sooooo much more than me.

WTF is wrong with you? I realize that you're new, but as smurphy mentioned, i've been railing against the Iraq occupation on this site and others since about 11/02. Do a search and stfu.

Let me ask you another question okay? Is it because Fox news told you Dean was a mean man you have these bad thoughts about him? What has Dean done or said for you to have this horrible opinion of him? I will tell you what it was so i think i can help you here. When he was winning the primary's the little scream he spouted out (from enjoyment)which Fox smeared all over their corrupt station, (along with others) made u come up with this brilliant theory that he was a Sapz? Did u ever think he is tired of the lies a child should recognize which guys like you can't, and it frustrates him greatly? It is absolutely sickening that people like you just can't find it in your thick head to actually listen to what he is saying but instead listen to what others say about him.

No, it's not because of Dean's 'yelp' in Iowa. It's because of his continued ridiculous comments that he makes. The face and head of the fundraising arm of that party would be better served by somebody more moderate.

And I don't think I ever had Fox 'tell me' that Deanie was a meanie weinie.

Matt Your up early today--
Sorry but I had to laugh at sponge's outburst.
Don't it make you want to pull your hair out when you can't get a sponge to "absorb" a simple thought. :)

Wayne,

lol- I don't know what's wrong with that guy. And you're right, for a 'sponge', his grey matter is less than absorbant. He should change his handle to 'wood plank.'

And for him to think that his 'theory' about Haliburton is something of a novel thought here, is, well, retarded at best.

ahh, the posterboy for idiocy, Fox network bashing, and gay bashing (the sponge) and the self proclaimed Jewish expert/Jew hater/Jew basher (hammer1) are fast becoming friends. What a lovely forum.

sponge, hammer1, read a little of the forum before you make generalizations about people. I've NEVER been an apologist for the Republican Party, I think for myself, and I watch other news sources more than Fox. I'm also not a Republican. I am a conservative, and there is such an animal as a conservative Democrat in this country. As kosar so aptly put, and as I have stated many, many times, the DNC needs to put out a VIABLE, non-liberal candidate to run for the 2008 presidential election. They do that, and they win in a landslide. They keep putting out clowns like Kerry, Gore, or Hillary, and they lose again. The heart of the Democratic party is NOT THE FAR LEFT!!! WAKE UP!!

Hey fellows. Been on the forum for some time, but haven't ventured much into here. Post mostly at the xxx forum. (dirty word, I know).

Question raised: The real reason we are in Iraq.

My take: It's a mixed bag. There are several reasons given on the surface as well as those not stated overtly. I understand the logic given by my friends on the right. Hussein was a mad, wild dog, who would grow more unpredicatble as time went on. However, I feel he was fairly well contained. Were he and his boys homicidal maniacs? Yes. Could he ever be trusted? No. Was there an imminent threat that we were compelled to respond to? No.
Therefore, I really feel the true reasons for invasion and occupation are this:

1. Future stability and access to easily obtainable oil reserves and strategic presence in the Middle East. Remember Dubya and Cheney Co. and the gang are all oil puppets.

2. Israel. Extremely powerful forces within our gov't are strongly swayed by the security needs and survival of our ally. Isareal is the only truly functioning democracy in the entire area.

3. Neocon's "pax americana" strategy for the new millenia. This gang of Trotskyites are the ones responsible for selling the Admin (Cheney and Rummy, who then sold Duyba) on adopting a "strike first" foreign policy strategy. Remake the trouble areas in the world thru pre-emptive military action.
Though the strategy may be logical, it isn't wise nor practical. More on the Neocon's hijack of US foreign policy later.

4. Global corporatism. Since our gov't has been essentially taken over by the interests of huge corporations, it only makes sense their need to always expand and seek new markets. Think about the boon in the future for capitalism if they could actually get the dysfunctional M.E. countries to embrace consumerism?

Kosar, that last post just about covers it. Too many people erroneously believe that the heart of the democratic party is the far left...and in my opinion they are wrong.

I'm just a little guy with no impact on policy or world events. I just know that I want my cars to keep running, my lights to turn on when I hit the switch, and my computer to power up when I press the button.

If a bunch of big guys made the decision to go to Iraq for the oil and make some money while doing it...well great for them....for me, just keep me running.

Of course this is a little tongue-in-cheek, but basically I am sure many people actually feel that way, we basically don't care how you get it, just get it.

Would agree much of dem is not on far left--unfortunately that is where their funding is coming from--that back the liberal players-liberal blogs ect--and makes party appear one dimensional.
With Dean-Peloski-and the Mass maniac's of Kennedy and Kerry getting all the press--it relects a single dimension on the party.

I made note in thread here bout week ago on Biden coming up with alternate plan in Iraq that I thought was pretty innovative--have not heard much about it since but believe we will. That what Dems need more of--solutions rather than complaints after the fact.

From a guy that gets ten comments in every thread you write trying to explain to you how terribly misinformed you are, makes your comments hysterical to me. I will side with the number one terror guy on the planet and you go side with Hannity and Rush.
