Facing opposition to his health care reform proposals, President Barack Obama has decided to reach out to a key demographic: morons.

Starting this week, Mr. Obama will host a series of town halls to roll out new features of his health care plan which will extend health care coverage to "all idiotic Americans," in the words of one White House source.

"We clearly underestimated the role that doofuses and dimwits were going to play in this debate," the source said. "We want to send them the message that this plan will give them coverage -- but we need to come up with a one-syllable word for 'coverage.'"

But critics of the president's new plan worry that extending coverage to every American who is a few bricks shy of a load could triple the size of the nation's deficit.

"The sheer number of lamebrains in the U.S. is much greater than the administration estimates," says Davis Logsdon, who studies the demography of idiots at the University of Minnesota. "Just look at Glenn Beck's ratings."

It was a joke DTB, you could insert a republican president and come up with the same thing.

I, and many others aren't very smart to not demand lobby reform. There are too many dems and rebs bought and paid for. This is especially true of the banking lobby. Look how well that is working, picking and choosing which banks fail or succeed.

KC... You "could" insert a Republican but Bush reaching out to morons would be like the Pope reaching out to Catholics.

Elsewhere, due to lack of interest, Apple announced today they're dropping their new iPhone App that allows you to talk to other people.

Since Wayne decided to kill the fun here, I'll ask him again, do you think 85% of the people who are supposedly happy with their health care (that number was not referenced in your link, by the way, maybe it was from one of your Karl Rove reports?), are happy with the cost of it, and the cost of healthcare in general?

I see now you are changing your numbers, as before you were quoting that 91% of the people currently have healthcare, and we can see clearly that number has never existed, at least it has never been proven here. The only two people I know of that have said 91% were Karl Rove, and you, in quoting his mistaken (or made up) number. Maybe it came out in some colorful chart on Murdoch's Wall Street Journal, or one of the Krauthammer/Malkin columns at some point?

Regardless, we do have to check things, don't we?

And we see the numbers of uninsured going up, so the problem is increasing, of course, and should not be minimalized by people like Karl Rove - but THEY (you and he) will keep minimalizing it, because I guess it doesn't effect you - at least not in ways other than overall cost of services, which we all pay for in the short and long run.

Sorry, Wolf - but figured since the mood had been ruined, I would address the negativity. On an unrelated note... what is the running back situation looking like in KC? I took a $1 flyer in my fantasy auction on Jamaal Charles last night, hoping LJ would not be in favor with the new regime for very long... thoughts? I can sign him to a 3 year contract at $1 per year, which might be worth it if he's gonna get any playing time in the near future.

No problem Chadman.

Charles is a good choice, as I agree LJ is a lost-mind commodity anymore.

Charles is ranked #1 for KO returns, #3 RB behind LJ & Battle.

nothing wrong with obama`s policies...if you`re willing to overlook:

socializing of healthcare, illegal immigration amnesty, open borders, support for foreign dictators, abandonment of allies, gutting the military, adoption of foreign treaties that are counter to the constitution and degrade our sovereignty, gov`t intrusion into private lives and private enterprize, redistribution of wealth from the providers to the ne`r do wells, and taxes, taxes taxes,,,,,,

anybody that has "personal responsibility" as one of his core values certainly isn`t an obama supporter...

gardenweasel, I would like you take "personal responsibility" and try and prove any of your scare tactics. Whoops, I forgot. Everything you just mentioned have been going on for years with the Bush administration & republican legislation and policies: Death panels, open borders, ignoring illegal immigration, supporting dictators, destroying treaties, not abiding by the constitution, redistribution of wealth, taxes on the middle class, doing the best job in the history of America in destroying our sovereignty and government intrusion into private lives............and doing the least in supporting our troops of any administration.

The Obama administration is too busy right now to be involved in the above mentioned business. Most of their time is spent on getting the 2nd amendment repealed. In the short term, they will be taking away your ammunition. This plan may be working too well, as many law enforcement agencies are having to ration bullets.

Plans are also being made to round up young people to indoctrinate them into "democratic ways". Those that refuse will be labeled christians and locked away.

It is also taking a tremendous amount of time to get prepared for terorism. This will soon come to fruitition, starting in Michigan. While Obama had the rightwing preoccupied with health reform, terror camps have been readied in the Wolverine state. The terrorists from Gitmo will arrive soon.

The death panel and nazi propaganda is working well. Another secret diversion started by Obama that is working way better than expected. It looks like turning the US into a Muslim State will be easier than first thought. Training troops in the middle east for the take over is just a thing of beauty - all under the disguise of Bush's war.

Oh, another thing. I never thought gun toting at town hall meetings would ever work. Everyone thought they would be arrested like the Tshirt leftists during the Bush era town hall meetings. Obama, you sure caught them off balance with that charade.

Soon you will be able to tax, tax, tax. Use socialism until the muslim state is established, spend trillions on whatever you want, especially illegals..............

you`re good at repeating what i wrote...i`ll give you points for your source..

you never heard me call bush a conservative...he`s not...not even close...but he was vilified(in many instances, very unfairly,by people like yourself)...

your memory`s not too good,so lets take a stroll down "memory hole" lane, shall we?...

you don`t recall the nazi/bush images?(.i`m sure you have one posted on your wall)..."bushitler" doesn`t ring a bell?...

"war for oil"(where`s all that oil?)...

susan roegen, the cnn reporter that threw a hissy over "offensive' signs at the tea parties...wasn`t so offended at disparaging bush images..

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2WQbNaXJ8Pw&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2WQbNaXJ8Pw&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&hl=en&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

and how about this little diddy?

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PpxmYvlLKXo&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PpxmYvlLKXo&color1=0xb1b1b1&color2=0xcfcfcf&feature=player_embedded&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

but,of course, never, ever has the media traded it's integrity so completely as in the case of obama, tingly legs, slobbering, fawning & outright support....that`s very sad because it obviously influences the gullible.....

i guess it was the vast right-wing conspiracy who was beating up and intimidating people when they tried to participate in democracy, not union thugs bussed in by democrat community organizations?...hmmm...let's see, who exactly was that who ACTUALLY beat the crap out of that black conservative?...:mj03:

2 incidents of carrying guns to obama rallies(stupid but legal) constitutes full support of those actions by the gop?..broad brush you paint with there.....then what about that liberal moron they caught with a gun outside the white house when bush was president?...apparently,even peace-loving, liberal metrosexuals carry guns, too...:D

of course you`re using a blinkered perspective to push the nutjobs into the definition of the whole, while ignoring that the opposition was doing very similar things not that long ago....

but, we expect that of you...that`s liberal logic....

try and remember that sticking feathers up your own ass doesn`t make you a chicken....;)

Ties That Bind?
Questions are being raised regarding the relationship between White House senior adviser David Axelrod and a Chicago-based media firm he founded that still employs his son.
Bloomberg reports AKPD Message and Media still owes Axelrod $2 million following his departure in December to work for President Obama. The firm is part of a multi-million-dollar advertising deal with Health Economy Now, a coalition that includes PHARMA, the lobbying group that represents the drug industry.
A liberal Huffington Post blogger, critical of the situation, today actually quoted a House Republican Conference statement: "Some may wonder whether White House senior advisers earning millions of dollars paid for in part by the pharmaceutical industry ? represents the kind of change Americans can believe in."
And Politico writes: "It's hard to imagine a situation in which ? say, Karl Rove ? was still getting checks from a firm that was, in turn, employed by the drug lobby not drawing fire from the left."

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs brushed off any criticism as "ridiculous" saying Axelrod left the firm to join public service.

Drill, Baby, Drill
And the Obama administration is going to lend at least $2 billion to a Brazilian state-owned oil company to finance drilling off that country's shores. The Wall Street Journal reports National Security Adviser Jim Jones met with Brazilian officials this month to talk about the loan to Rio de Janeiro-based oil producer, Petrobras.
The editorial board writes: "Americans are right to wonder why Mister Obama is underwriting in Brazil what he won't allow at home."
The deal is also good news for billionaire investor and major Democratic donor George Soros. According to Bloomberg, Soros bought an $811 million stake in Petrobras earlier this year, making that company his investment fund's largest holding, about 22 percent of its portfolio.
We reached out to the White House for comment on the Brazil deal but have not heard back yet. :SIB

The fact of the matter is 5 of every 6 Americans HAVE health insurance
-- and of those 85% are happy with it.

Liberal interpretation per above--

The productive above-- are the morons-idiots-bricks few shy of a load-ETC

They are happy with it until they need it and make a big enough claim, and get denied, now they're not so happy with it. I'am sure they're happy paying those high sky premiums also.

but,you have to work...that`s how you pay for stuff in a free market society...(lightbulb goes on:idea: )....

btw...a funny clip showing a guy at a healthcare rally packing...except msnbc protects their "racist" narrative by showing the "black guy" that`s packing from the waist down so you can`t tell that he`s an african american....

 ...they really think you guys are that stupid...

on a more somber note, scotland releases the lockerbie bomber that killed 243 passengers,16 crew members and 11 innocents on the ground.....

a humanitarian gesture toward a mass-murderer because he has terminal prostate cancer....he`s heading home to libya on one of qadhdhafi`s personal jets...probably to a hero`s welcome...so he can die in his own bed...around family and friends(and other like-minded monsters).....the victims?.....they didn`t get that consideration...

the world has truly gone insane...
